WORST security/alarm company ever!!!! Please do yourself a favor and never use this local Ottawa company. The technicians have no idea how to properly install an alarm system. After 4 months had passed we were still waiting for parts for the system. After we had to hire another company to come in they told us the system wasn't even properly installed, sensors were in the wrong place, wires were not connected properly....it was a nightmare! We heard from others that they had similar problems. When we complained about the issues we were having the owner was extremely rude and even insulted us personally. He made remarks about us not being able to afford his systems....unbelieveable!!! Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this unprofessional company. I can't even give this company one star! I was with Kodiak Security from 2003 to 2010, the service was fine, and the company seemed small and personal. My only comment is about how rude they were with me when I left for a lower cost monitoring service. I paid cash for the system and stayed with them a long time so I owed them nothing. But they practically snapped at me in refusal when I asked if they could provide a code to help the next service take over the system. They also billed me for an additional month starting 10 days after I cancelled my service with them. They told me nothing about this when I cancelled, and spoke to me like an idiot saying that I should have understood that they couldn't stop the last month payment when I asked about this later. No goodwill gesture to refund me for the month that they didn't provide any monitoring. In other words, they are your friends, but only while you pay them! read more

hired Kodiak Security System to install cameras in our kennel, in order to monitor whelping, puppies and outdoor play areas. The sales person was professional and indicated where the cameras would be installed for viewing each runs etc. But when their technician arrived for the install, he didn't have a clue where to place the cameras, what they were for etc. We had to go over everything with him and still was unclear. We called the sales person again and asked why his technician didn't have a clue about our needs etc and he replied "I don't care". Faced with a clueless tech and a non caring salesperson, I asked them to leave. Will be calling a more reliable company next time. Truly disappointed. read more
