This Review is for this location, if you want and overall review visit the site of Wesley chapel…read more Ok, there two locations for MCBJJ one in Wesley chapel and this one on Carrolwood this faculty is gorgeous and spacious it has it almost twice the size of the original facility, its a bit hidden on the back of that shopping center next to a Gym but its worth it, its out of the chaos of the front its very serene and there a lot of parking space which i prefer. also if you get out of there hungry there lot of places that you can eat by walking distance like a Hibachi place, Philly cheesesteak an Vietnamese Pho. It's very spacious it has two mat areas and a a smaller third in the back that i would love if the third one had punching bags, it has showers, and a spacious bathroom, its also very clean this dojo to me is a hidden gem. The one in charge of the Carrolwood Dojo Professor Rodrigo he very into his students and i was surprised by his humbleness and simplicity, he was very thoughtful and on hands which surprised me since i am a lowly White belt the norm in 90% of martial arts at least in my experience the Master stays the distance and his advanced students teach or the master explains a few times and then watches, but this master did the opposite, much respect to him. To me it makes no sense that the Gym next door people pay to run outside the gym to lose weight... why not take BJJ you lose weight, create muscle and can defend oneself, each to his own i guest. I love the location, its very serene and calm a this just needs a bit more promo or a sign and i think it will get more students. For people who dint view the overall review on Wesley chapel, if you join it includes the two locations(this one and Wesley chapel) unlimited which means if you want to go the 5 days and take conditioning,Yoga, BJJ and Muay Thai. for women there is a Woman only class on Saturday on the Wesley Chapel location i highly recommend it for women who are just starting out on BJJ the Coach Ariana Cruz is excellent instructor.

With all that I was told last year by my physician that I would need a life changing surgery, and full transparency it scared me, especially when I was told about post operation recovery (I would be down hard). I'm not much for sharing, but I entrusted Danny Pacheco (gym owner) & Coach Keith Moore (personal trainer) with this devastating news and they put me on an 8-week health challenge focused on my post operation recovery and worked me until I hit the operating table. Day one out of surgery I was required to walk one lap around the hospital floor, later that evening I was walking 2 multiple times, and day 3 I averaged 3 laps every 2 hours. I was told I would need someone to assist me physically with day-to-day effects, which was not the case since physically I was able to care for myself and still not sure why, but I never needed to finish the pain medication. Every time I go into the gym, I'm greeted with a warm and friendly smile, and even in one case Coach Hugh and Coach Marissa came up and asked me to pray one day unprompted and without knowledge of what I was going through (I needed it). Sorry if this was long winded, but I don't write many reviews but could not keep quiet about this GEM of a GYM, today marks one week out of surgery and though I still have a road to recovery I have more independence than I was told I would have, even able to walk around the block, there is something special about this place.
