A good and for the most part authentic Thai restaurant with a large and varied menu, including for cocktails. I wanted to order a lot of dishes from the menu. This restaurant is listed among the Discovery section of the World's 50 Best Restaurants and was packed the two weeknights I was there. The portions are generous but pricey even in western/northern countries standards. They are also generous with their meat; you will have plenty of it in whatever dish you order. If you're accustomed to spicy food don't worry about their spicy dishes they aren't that spicy. Only one negative thing to say about their food: my fried rice was al dente. Who cooks/serves al dente rice in Asian cuisine?!?! Will I come back? Yes. I came back two nights in a row. Whom do I recommend this to? Finally, during the travel in Brazil, I found a my Ms Right - Restaurant Koh Pee Pee, No.1 restaurant in Porto Alegre evaluated at Tripadvisor. The decoration and inner design are very Thai, so I guess the restaurant should be opened by a Thai. The food and taste are authentic like you are in Thailand. Not influenced by Brazilian preference, not like those faked Chinese and Japanese restaurants I met in Brazil. By the way, the waitress and waiters should learn to say "sawatdee-ka" and "sawatdee-krab" which mean "hallo" to the guests. :-) read more

Fantastic Thai food. Never expected it in Brazil, especially when I didn't see a single Thai in the kitchen. The atmosphere is beautiful. The restaurant was packed, even on a Monday evening. The Penang curry had just the right amount of spice! I also had the chicken satay as an appetizer. Service was exceptional and the menu was in Portuguese and English and English was no problem with the wait staff. Everyone said its the best and most authentic Thai in Brazil. If you don't have a reservation be ready to wait comfortably at the lounge upstairs while enjoying a nice cocktail and an appetizer. Once you are directed to the table PLEASE take the opportunity to enjoy some of the best wines of South America, Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor 2011 by Concha y Toro, was AMAZING! I ordered the Pad Tai with Toffu, the taste was incredible but a little undercooked on the noodles, they were kind of hard to chew The rest was ok. So why not 3 stars? Why not 5 stars? Three will probably keep you from coming and you must give it a try. 5 stars in the first visit would have to blow me away, so I have to come back again before updating my review. I do believe that this is the only Officially Thailand Government recognized Authentic Thai Restaurant in Brazil. The place is beautiful, service is perfect and the food is a gift from heavens. It's expensive to Brazilian standards but the experience certainly worths. read more

Very nice place. In the affluent part of Porto Alegre. Food is delicious. Service is fantastic. Nice selection of wines. Like most restaurants in Brazil opens at 7:30 and people start arriving around 8pm. From what I understand this is the #1 restaurant in porto Alegre. Anyway if your tired of all the charascurrias then you need to come here to cleanse your palate. read more
