This Chinese deli has only been open a couple of months. They have some really interest food…read moreproducts though, from China, Thailand, and Japan. The deli counter is stocked with things like steamed fish and lamb curry, which are a really good price for lunch or a light dinner - £3.50 each (including rice), and the quality of the curry (which I just sampled) is very good. The menu changes every day, according to what the chefs feel like cooking, so there's definitely going to be variety if you become a regular. The man who owns the shop also runs the Thai kitchen at the Old Fishmarket on Baldwin Street, and he has plans to open a Steamed Dim Sum bar at the back of this Deli. There's already a few places set up here, so you can eat in as well as takeaway, or choose one of the intriguing items from one of the 3 shelving units at the front of the shop. I've never eaten in the restaurant, only had take away, but it's always been quick delivery. I've had most dishes on the menu and stand outs for me is the Moo Prik Thai-On (Pork with Pepper Sauce). It is quite creamy but nice and spicy with a real peppery kick. The panang curry is also very good. All in all a great Thai take away. Nothing out of the ordinary on the menu, which is a shame as I like finding a new dish - but great for a classic thai feed.

All the staff are Thai and it is clearly authentic down to the very last detail. The food is perhaps not the greatest I've ever tried, but the recipes were tasty and well-executed. Thai Classic certainly isn't new or modern, if anything it reminds me of restaurants how they used to be when I was a little kid being shepherded round oriental eateries by my parents. Inside is a very cosy little Asian eatery, specialising in Malaysian and Thai cuisine. There is an extensive menu for both, and also, set meals for each nationality of cuisine. Bad BAD and rude…read more The service we received was awful, firstly delivered our food an hour late then when it did arrive we only received 6 of our 7 dishes, when I rang to explain that we where missing a Pad Thai they hung up twice finally when I spoke to the waitress she told me without apology that they wouldn't send another, they would give money back if i was to ring and tell "just Eat" then they would eventually pay me refund the price of the dish, I then realised that they also got another dish wrong bean curd instead of veg, eventually after 35 minutes on the phone (my bill) the manager said he would give us the pad thai and a starter free,.... and the starter was tempurer veg basically 3 onion rings and a couple of battered carrots. With prices like that it's unsurprising that this is a bit of a student haunt, at least on the night I went along anyway. The Bristol uni hordes manage to fill up the three rooms and garden out the back, creating a proper buzz on a Friday night. They also make a long queue, which combined with the five pounds asked for some nights makes this place slightly less attractive that it otherwise would be. That the only criticism I can think of is because this place is popular should tell you that you won't be disappointed by a night out at Bunker.

Situated near Clifton Triangle and Park Street, The Bunker nightclub is open 6 nights a week with drinks starting from £1, popular DJ's, 3 rooms and a very large smoking garden. The queuing can be quite ridiculous so make sure you do not get there to late. Music ranges from chart music to dance and drum and bass with a raised seating area and large dance floor. The toilets are fairly small so expect a queue. On one particular night, they had let in far too many people on the venues legal capacity resulting in a 'power cut', which then the venue turned very much into 'a war bunker' with emergency lighting and scared people. Magically all the staff swiftly disappeared and there was literally no-one to tell us what was happening. Everyone started to pile towards the stairs to leave and no joke I was almost crushed to death and £5 out of pocket from the entrance fee. I was not happy!
