He greets the employees warmly "Yo yeah brotha whats up" then continues following the boy. No one says anything. The employee, a smug overweight kid, with moppy hair then follows around a new employee, same size as he is, to make sure "she's getting the hang of it." But she's getting uncomfortable and instead of speaking up against her co-worker she ends up blaming and yelling at some innocent random customer. Not sure if she speaks English and also, I also notice none of the other employees or customers speak English. At least be nice to people, maybe. Good job on cultivating your desired environment, Kohl's. What a mess. Also an Asian guy in a Tesla parked right next to the front of the doors staring at women but gesticulating wildly at other guys outside. Weird and not a satisfying shopping experience. read more

Customer service does a horrible job. I've much better experiences in other locations. Slow seems to be the pace in this store. These people will not do anything more than they have to. Kohls the company that sprung up in almost every old Mervyns location and ran Robinsons May Co out of business... ohhh and they have helped run a number of sears and penny's locations under too... Love these guys... I really like this specific Kohls as they have a ton of discount stuff for guys that other locations dont carry... That is the best part about Kohls. Hitting the discount racks. I seriously get most of my work and off work clothing here now that isnt for working out. Definitely a great way to save a lot of $$$ I also seriously wonder who buys anything full price at Kohls? I dont think anyone does, but who knows. Do you or have you bought full price stuff from Kohls? It is also a great place for me to get stuff for my daughter. Lots of great kid stuff is always on super sale and they have much more whimsical designs than most places for little girls. She loves the patterns and the slogans on most of the clothing. The staff here is fairly helpful... not the best but better than average I would say. They also have a huge parking lot here that is shared with a few chain semi fast food joints. I shop almost every month here. I don't know the reason why this idiot cashier kept asking me to pull out my ID when I was paying. My ID is in a clear plastic inside my wallet, showing it is not enough. Clearly my name matches my card and my picture matches my face. Still this idiot insists that it is their procedure. I cancelled my transaction. I watched him if he did with other customers BUT HE DID NOT ASK FOR THEIR ID. The cashier is Benjamin. REPLY to KOHLS SOCIAL MEDIA T If your number one goal is to protect all your customers then WHY was he not consistent of asking each and every customer to pull out their ID. You don't run the magnetic stripe of the ID NOR you don't have that ultra violet light to check it. IT IS NOT NECESSARY. I had never been in a Kohl's until last Saturday. I was driving along Fremont in search of a car wash to kill time before the elite event at LA MILL and saw the Kohl's. Let's see- get my car clean or shop. Easy choice! After losing Mervyn's, I lost a source for cute, cheap shoes. I intended to go find the shoes right away but they weren't on the first floor and I never made it upstairs. I guess I didn't have that much time to kill so this store bears a repeat visit. Parking was great. No one was fighting for spots. I didn't care to line up in one main central line then again, I remember how frustrated I would get when people in individual departments took forever and a day to ring you up. Maybe a central line is the way to go. Even if I only had a pair of clearance earrings (Simply Vera as in Vera Wang earrings marked down to just under $4). So, let's talk about the merch. The junior's clothes are similar junky quality as JC Penny but possibly slightly more trendy. Hell, they have a Lauren Conrad line! Like, woah. But I found myself not excited to dig through the clearance racks. The handbags were matronly. Within the junior's section they did have some odd pairs of shoes or handbags tucked into the sections. Overall the store was clean and cashiers were kind. I wanted to break the $5 bill I got in change and although the woman had already closed the cash register, she reopened it (to the dismay of the person behind me) and gave me fresh, newly minted $1 bills. HOT TIP** before you even read the review.. * there are several websites out there that say Kohl's is actually the most overpriced department store UNLESS you have the Kohl's card. You can actually end up 30 to 40 percent if you have the card. Case in point, don't shop here unless you have a Kohl's card or know someone who does! Why the TWO stars? They misplaced our items that we put on hold for less than 24 hours. We went in early the following day to go and purchase our items but they could not locate it for over an hour. At this point, we had six Christmas gifts that we now had to go and shop all over for. Later that day, we went to another Kohl's and purchased some of the other items that went missing. After that, we went back to the Kohl's in Alhambra (location that originally lost our items) .. We asked them again to locate our items that we put on hold because we weren't able to find everything at other stores. The new associate in Customer Service actually was able to find it because she said the associates earlier "did not look in the OTHER room" - Come on Kohl's.. I get it that you're busy.. But if you put stuff on hold for people, you need to make sure you do not misplace it. The Dyson Animal Complete 41 normally priced at $729 was on sale for $519. We had a coupon for 20%. Walked out paying around $460 WITH a voucher of Kohl's cash for $80!!!!!!!!!!! With that $80 voucher and a coupon for 15% off, we returned a week later and picked up a new knife sharpener & a cooking pot. Our balance was only $9. Placed a Christmas order online. Pajamas for mom, sweatshirt for dad. Requested wrapping items together. Got an email the next day that the sweatshirt was cancelled. Out of stock. Chatted with Steve and called 3 times to get no where except to find that the sweatshirt wasn't out of stock. They could re order it but I'd have to pay again for gift wrapping. There's something really creepy about this place. When it was new, I made it to the front door but couldn't go inside. Just its aura alone repelled me. The people inside looked creepy too--like zombies, ravenous and ready to feed on something disgusting. I didn't want to get eaten myself, so I just walked away. OK I'm a dude, and I love Kohl's. Great discounts and great selection of clothes. Sometimes I get lucky and I find something in the discount rack. Its the place I always go to buy my Levis and such. Parking is great and always able to find something. Staff is great and sometimes they have helped me get more discounts. Negatives are it sometimes gets hella crowded and if your looking for shoes, its sometimes hard to find your size. I'm a size 9 for a guy in shoes, which is above average for a 5'6 guy, and you know what they say about a guy with large feet. But anyways back to the point, so yes its hard to find your size, but I realized what they show you for the shoes is not everything. So always asked if they have it, because I asked the guy working there the other day, and he found me a size 9 in running shoes, even though it was not in the front display. Before they closed, I would get my work clothes from Robinsons-May. The had the best selection of stuff. (I miss you, Robinsons-May!) That forced me to become a Mervyn's shopper. At least they had similar brands and prices. Christmas 2008 was brutal for retailers and became Mervyn's swan song. Enter Kohl's. Wow they have dockers pants nice enough to wear to work as well as dockers shorts. Print swimshorts and T-shirts for the beach - check. A nice selection of dress shirts and ties - check. I like the Arrow brand for men's dress shirts and they have a pretty good mix of colors, sizes, button-down vs. point collars, etc. Tai is correct. This place actually looks and feels like a more upscale store, rather than Mervyn's with stuff on the floor, bare shelves and ripped open packages. Everything is neat and well stocked. Minus 1 star for no fragrance counter. I'm a total fragrance counter junkie. I'm not saying that they aspire to be a Macy's or Nordstrom, tho. This place sits firmly between the old Robinsons-May and the old Mervyn's, and that's actually not such a bad thing. read more

I'm pretty surprised by this place. I never thought much of Kohl's. Something about a place that only has one vowel in its name.. just seems strange. Add in that it felt like a Mervyn's. So I never really thought of going in till I realized that I needed some utility pants. So why not, I went in and sure enough, the place surprised me in a good way. The isles were clean, clothes weren't tossed around and didn't look like they came from Wal mart. The sales were pretty decent and even the regular prices were alright compared to what I was expecting to pay on a couple of stuff. The place even has a second floor... Which in retrospect, I'm not sure why I was surprised by that going in. I suppose I'm just used to oversized crappy stores. Changing rooms are empty because this whole shopping area is dead. I purchased a watch from a different kohls location and I decided to return it today to this location and this lady supervisor gave me a worst customer service ! She told me that she cannot give me the store credit because it's big amount of money and I have to wait for it from the mail and she also told me that if I want to get the store credit the same day I have to go to the actual location where I purchased it and return it from there ! Kohls doesn't even have that policy that I have to go back to the actual store where I purchased it! And that I cannot do anything because she's the supervisor ! Worst ever customer service ! Again, this place gets 4 stars because this Kohl's came through for me again. It's hard for me to find clothes for my son because he is a short, husky little guy. I can NEVER find pants for him but for some reason, Kohl's always comes through. I think of it wasn't for Kohl's, finding clothes for my son would be a lot harder. The fact that they have really nice clothes is a plus. My boy likes to go out and play so he always stains his clothes. I noticed the clothes from Kohl's are a lot easier to keep from stains or from ripping. I also like that I can find pants for my son with an elastic waist because regular pants are not comfortable for him. I also appreciate the workers there. The lady that was working in the area where I was shopping offered assistance and she was a real help. She also told me that I can get the same pants I was looking at, on sale from a different section. I'm only giving it 1 star because I use this location to return my Amazon purchases. It states it's easy and convenient, yet they lost my package that I had sent back. When I walked In the amazon return center was conveniently right there. I waited in line for a good 15 min and there was 3 people ahead of Me. It was finally my turn, the guy that helped me I asked for the bar code thru my email for the return so I presented it to him he scanned it and literally tossed the clothing I was returning behind him. He didn't put it In a box or place a label on it. I felt that was unprofessional and rude. Then I waited about 12 days before calling amazon to find out why I haven't received my refund. They (Amazon) said they never received my package. It was very inconvenient, then I had to wait for them to investigate my return through Kohl's before I could get my refund. Let me just by saying I'm a credit card holder so I get coupons on the mail but you can double them up by going to retailmenot.com and printing additional coupons. Parking-. I recommend to come during the week cause it could get a little crazy during the weekend. Parking could be a total Bi%$^ especially around the holidays. Okay I rarely write about a department store but this ones a little peculiar. Granted customer service is above par but its the actual merchandise. I know some stores repackage items if they deem restockable, but my Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer was dirty with cookie dough, scratches and a missing lid. I also noticed all of the other mixers have been opened and restocked because of the excess taping. So I worked with them and exchanged it at the San Gabriel Kohl's that had a much better quality control on appliances. On top of my Kitchenaid issues, I had also purchased a Cuisinart immersion blender, that is actually the wrong model. It looks brand new, but its only a one speed blender and the box shows a 2-speed blender. I am completely surprise with how poor their quality control is on their return items. read more

With luck I have at ALHAMBRA KOHLS, I should play the lottery! What are the chances of going to the store to have a security tag removed from a garments from a prior purchase, and then making a new purchase come home and go on vacation and having another garment with security tags on it . The store manager Troy was very sympathetic and even offered a "small" (15%) discount against a new purchase that same day. So wth my daughters and I did some shopping. Let me preface this review with the fact that I am not a fan of Kohls products sold. However I do believe that they have very good deals and when they give you that shopping coupons for 10 or $20 off you can really get good stuff at a cheap price. This is also my mom's favorite store and she loves that on Tuesdays we give an additional percentage off for senior citizens. One of my favorite things that Kohl's has done in The recent month is that they've introduced a Amazon drop off service. They even have a special parking lot and you don't have to go deep into the store to drop off your Amazon returns. They have a whole station at the front of the store can you just drop your stuff off there. You don't even have to print anything you don't have to package it you give it to them the way you're sending it back and they'll do all of the packaging and labeling for you. This is an amazing new service that I absolutely love. Once your return has been completed they also give you a coupon for 20% off a purchase of one Item. I don't normally shop at Kohls but I can see myself using this coupon in the future. Great idea to whoever thought of this I think it's fantastic! read more

When I came with my my mom to look for decorations, I was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of Christmas ornaments at rock bottom prices.
