The manager named Deanna or whatever her name is, was extremely rude and disrespectful. She told me that I couldn't return an item because it was passed the 30 day time frame. I said excuse me mam, that only applies to premium electronics not regular items. She dismissed me with attitude and disrespect and told me to call the company to return my home appliance item. I calmly told her that she was wrong and that she needed to abide by the corporate policy which is very clear and obvious on the receipt. She couldn't care less about that and she said she made the rules because she was an assistant manager. I almost laughed in her face, and I just walked away to descalate the embarrassing situation. I went to the home applicable qreq and spoke to a wonderful lady named Angela who told me that If I had my receipt and it was purchased within the 180 day time frame that I should be able to swap it out for the same model. When I sent her to talk to Deanna the devil, she came back disappointed and said sorry she won't let you return it. Anyways long story short I ended up returning it after Deanna the nutjob racist, said that I could. Only after I called another store and told her that she said I definitely could return it. Deanna was smart enough( sarcasm) to realize she was in the wrong and decided let me return it for my full refund. She asked if I wanted her to go out the back and find another one for me to exchange and I told her a resounding NO! I just want my refund and after I received it I walked away while she was still talking to me. I don't know how on Gods given Earth Kohls employs really inept, remedial, disrespectful and classless employees to represent their company which isn't doing too good I might add. I don't want to play the race card here but I noticed she was very polite and prompt with a white ladies return seconds before me. When she seen me, her demeanor changed. I'm a person of color and proud so wether she in fact is racist or just a big A hole she doesn't deserve to be employed by Kohl's. I will definitely be taking this to corporate and I hope this lady gets fired. You guys lost me as a longtime loyal customer. I will be telling everyone I know of the racist encounter I had today at the garbage Medford Kohl's. Never will you see another cent from me again, or from family and friends. I went to Kohls with my 30% off coupon to purchase K cups for my Keurig coffee and a new filter. Not too happy that they were not on sale but was willing to buy one box to tide me over. I will not pay $17.99 for a box of 18 as a rule. I try to combine the coupon with the sale but had no such luck this time. Walked to the front registers and there were huge lines. I did some window shopping nearby to wait for the lines to thin out. While waiting in the line there was a manager of some sort on one of the phones at the registers helping a customer and speaking very loudly. Then made another call to her manager (i think) discussing what just transpired basically letting everyone waiting in line listen to her. That's when I said I had enough. I walked back to the housewares department, put the Keurig items back and walked out. She was still on the phone "discussing" what should of been done in a more private location. Kohl's is generally good for slightly posh men's clothes at reasonable prices. The site is generally clean in the sense of not being dirty, and classy. The one thing that is not classy is the constant screeching over the intercom, both by employees calling each other and a computer calling employees to the phone or registers or whatever. Kohl's should do what even the lower-end Target does and get their employees wireless headsets so they can communicate without annoying everyone else. The place is a bit of a mess today, in that there are jeans and belts and shirts and everything all over the floor and in the wrong displays because employees haven't straightened up after an apartment storewide storm of messy customers. read more

I went to the Kohl's to do a price match on an item. The associate that helped me was fine but wanted to confirm with manager. The manager came over and gave me this spiel attitude and states we don't really do that, price matching only to local store. So I gave her the ad from Sears and now got this really dirty look from her, like I am begging her for something. This manager should really be fired. The Meadow Glen Mall is like an old beauty queen past her prime. Kohl's is clearly the flagship store. I found that this Kohl's compares to other locations sort of overstuffed in every department, sales racks that are a mish-mosh of clothing and sales, sales, sales! I think the best departments are definitely athletic wear and women's clothing. Things do get a little messy and overwhelming so be prepared to comb through racks to find what you are looking for. I'm not a fan of their housewares as it is the one part of the store holding onto department store prices. It makes me think Kohl's has one foot in the department store world and one foot in the discount chain. So which is it, already!? read more

The public should be completely aware that Kohls policy for accepting returns on electronic devices extends for only 30 days, regardless of whether the item was a gift that was never opened and the recipient had no knowledge of the policy. It would seem with all the competition facing Kohl's, they would be more customer sensitive. I and my family will never shop there again. read more

So headed in for some plain t-shirts for work. Loved the previous ATP7 shirts and the way it felt. Snagged two of those. Found some more ultra soft and comfy ones, snagged two of those as well. Now both of those, $7.99 for the ATP7 and $9.99 for the ultra comfy ones. And on top of the price, said, "buy one get one 1/2 off. Headed to the cashier and she rang up and total came out to be around $35ish give or take. So I ask her, aren't they buy one get one half? She pointed to the computer and said, "no, that's not what the computer says." Um, rude. So no thanks, I left the store. Now, I'm headed towards Marshalls and each step further I get away, I get more furious because I knew what I saw. After going to Marshalls, we headed back to Kohl's because I wanted to make 100% sure I was not insane and seeing that particular sign. I grabbed the previous four shirts and headed to another cashier. She rung up the first two and I asked, "aren't they on sale? Buy one get one half off?" The cashier said no. So I held up a picture of the sign, for I had a feeling it was going to end up this way and showed it to the cashier. She said, "that's for something else." And I told her that sign was right on top of the item. She zoomed closer and said, "read the sign, it says select items." So no thanks, again. I know how to read and well, if you're going to say, "buy one get one half off" and have that sign over the selected item that I have chosen, honor it. It wasn't that I didn't want to pay what was already so cheap, but it was misadvertised and your staff was rude. Try again, Kohl's. read more

I went to Kohl's looking for a party dress and a pair of shoes that they had online. They had very few dresses in the store, and those that they did have were ugly, cheap- looking Chinese rags. The dresses are also organized by "designer" instead of all being together. It took me 45 minutes of looking in various departments before I figured out that they did not have anything suitable. I was shopping with my friends one day and we were needing some assistance. The cashiers were clearly busy so we didn't want to burden them. Just when we thought we would receive assistance from an employee or the loss prevention guy, they engaged in a "tickle fight". It would have been endearing except for the fact that we needed help and they didn't even see us. To make it worse the loss prevention guy had a wedding ring and his coworker didn't. Disappointed with Kohl's aggressive and quick submission of late payment to credit agency. I don't ever plan to shop at the store again. If this is how they value customers then I will have nothing to do with them. I have shopped at Kohl's for a number of years and spent a few thousand dollars there. I had a Kohl's charge card year's ago. I had no late payments. I resisted acquiring the charge card again because I don't like opening multiple charge card accounts. Just over a year and a half ago I opened up the charge card account because Kohl's constantly promotes the card with added sales discounts to get customers to acquire the card. I finally got it reluctantly. After setting up the account, there was a delay in receipt of the invoice which I set up to be sent to my PO Box. Since I normally always paid with my credit card for purchases, I had forgotten about the charge card and statement. By the time I got it and reviewed it, I was a few days late on making the payment. Mind you, I could have paid the bill at the register or upon receipt of the statement. I seek to set up auto payment with my recurring charge accounts because I don't have to worry about whether or not I paid. But for some reason I could not initially do so, as I recall. Nonetheless, I had a second statement that I arrived in which I was unfortunately a few days late because I had not set up the auto pay. I admit that this was an oversight. Nonetheless, Kohl's reported to the credit agencies that I was late. So now I have a late payment indicator on my credit report. This is totally bull. I immediately cancelled my card. I don't ever plan to shop at the store again. If this is how they value customers then I will have nothing to do with them. They don't waste any time to nearly drag a customer to sign up for the card, and then if a couple payments are late for a few days report them to the credit agencies. Again, one of the late payments was an oversight. I have the money to pay it. My credit is very good. Like I said I normally have these types of account set up on auto pay. One of the few reasons I go to Kohl's is to buy Docker pants for myself - size 12 petite because they fit perfectly BUT somehow someone in the ordering dept. has decided that all females must wear either a bathing suit, shorts or capris during the summer. It is amazing that I cannot find a pair of long, decent, well fitting pants in that store as soon as the weather gets warmer. To top that off, it is impossible to find long WHITE pants. FYI - there are people who only feel confortable in long pants and maybe just don't look good in shorts, etc. Please think of us when you order for Kohl's in Medford. Judging from a couple of people shopping there the last time I looked, they were looking for the same thing I was. A word to the wise is sufficient I hope. Management at that store says they have no say in what comes in. They wait for the truck and whatever is on it is what they get.......A little strange? No local buyers? read more
