Stopped in today to return an Amazon item. I picked Kohl's for my return because a box and label weren't required. Of course the Amazon returns are in customer service, in the very back of the store. They want you to peruse the store on your way back there, hoping something will catch your eye. When I'm on a mission, I have tunnel vision, so I was in and out, no purchase today. I do like Kohl's. Once Mervyn's closed awhile back, the reasonably priced department stores were JCPenney or Kohl's. They have good sales and coupons available for those on a budget, or just wanting a good deal. They have nice decor for indoors and outdoors, during spring and summer. They're clothing is good quality and they also sell designer fragrances. Overall a great experience for my Amazon return. When did Kohl's turn into Macy's? No customer service, High prices, When I lived in the area it was easy to find bargains and lots of choices at Kohl's. Not anymore. We went in on a Saturday close to 11am. There were very few customers and even less employees. We looked around the store but were primarily looking for women's shoes. Choices were very limited and prices very high. The store has now come to remind me of a combination of Macy's and Nordstrom without the quality. So many of the items they had I could get for significantly less at other local stores or online with free shipping. Saturday was always my favorite day to shop here as they usually had a good sale and selection. It was always easy to find someone if you needed help. The culture of Kohl's has certainly changed too. Slovenly dressed employees, no management presence and no staff to help you. I saw they still had Christmas items on clearance in certain sections. Christmas was almost 7 months ago but they still had some stuff at high prices. If it has not sold by now, mark it down, take a loss and don't look desperate to make a profit on it, We used to enjoy shopping at Kohl's, but since we now live where there isn't one and this last experience. we aren't really missing out. read more

Three times now I have tried to buy something at Kohl's using a "Take an Extra 20% off" coupon. THE COUPON DOES NOT APPLY TO ANYTHING. EVERY TIME. To make matters worse, there was just ONE register open for the ENTIRE STORE, and it was tied up 12+ minutes by the cashier waiting for a manager to waddle over for something. This is infuriating. I love Kohls clothes and prices, so I had some pants shipped, one pair did not fit. Went to the store to return them. I am elderly and Handicapped with COPD and Heart issues, I parked in Handicapped near the front door and using my walker went into the 1st register and asked the sales associate to please refund my pants. She said I have to go ALL the way to the BACK of the store to Customer service! I said I m handicapped and cannot breathe walking that far . She said sorry we cant do refunds here! I asked to speak to a manager and then she said I ll refund your pants this ONE TIME ONLY ! and rolled her eyes huffed offf to the jewlery counter, so I followed and thanked her profusely! Can I give a zero star?? Angel-Kohl's Chad I went into the Kohl's store that I shop at on the regular. I spend hundreds of dollars a month purchasing directly in store or online. I have not had an experience like I had 5/27 from any other company I have ever worked with... I was walking around shopping for my son's 9th birthday. Spending a total of $240 on different articles of clothing and a pair of shoes. I had taken a display shoe that stated it was $44.99 and grab the display box that was below it as it was the only size in my sons size. After making it to my car and buckling my 5 year old son in, I looked at the receipt. I saw the pair of shoes I was purchasing for $44.99 was charged $70. I walked back in the store to question the charge and have the $44.99 corrected. After speaking to the customer service agent. It was deemed the store had missed labeled the shoes. Different sizes are different prices. But I had grabbed both the display box and display shoe, so I assumed it was human error. As the customer service woman was getting ready to honor the mistake that Kohl's made, the attending manager Angel interjected to advise the mislabeled price would not be honored. Her behavior about it was a bit shocking and aggressive. I will be honest, I felt uncomfortable at the scene which was being presented. So I had asked for a complete refund. At that time Angel went forward in advising me that it was my error and that I should've looked at the barcodes. I do not work there... Why would I look at the barcodes... I requested to speak to a manager and that's when she (passive-aggressively) advised me she was the manager. And if there was no one else for me to speak to. I had asked for her leaderships name, she advised me it was Chad. I then went over to take a picture of the two labels I had seen. And that's when I met Sara. Sara also went on arguing with me (when all that I asked for was to take an image of the label/price tag), telling me it was my fault and I made the mistake and went as far as stating I had switched the labels. At this point I've now had two people working for the company attacking me and my character. So I went back out to my car to finish the return of everything I purchased. As walking back in I see Angel. We make eye contact, she chuckles, and teeters her head back-and-forth as if mocking me. I did not speak to her... I kept walking back to customer service. And here when I had my second interaction with Sara. I did not speak to Sara however Sara wanted to speak to me. She wanted to makeIt very clear that I had two different size shoes. And yes it was it was the display shoe and the display box. I thought the mistake was mine. I clarified to her I do not work for the company. And I did not make the mistake. She then stated to me, "well it's not like I put it in your hands or something. It's $70". I reminded her I did not speak to her. I did not engage her. I did not request a secondary interaction with her. And I was on the phone with my husband who heard how terribly she was speaking to me. I have my four-year-old son with me. And I teach my children respect of other people. And to top it off... You better believe Angel was raring and waiting for me to walk out of the store. I even have a video of her as I was walking by teetering her head the same exact way when she saw me walk back in. How on gods green earth are either one of them working customer service? Let alone Angel working in a leadership role willing to blatantly mocking me as I walk near her. I would have honestly been OK paying the $70 if clarified. And to be honest I was in between two pairs of shoes. Who knows! I might've gone back for the other shoes that were the accurate price. Money is not the issue here. It was the shocking, unnecessary interaction with both Angel and Sara that was so out of line. I'm genuinely in tears that I could be treated that way in a place I'm paying to be in. And they are being paid to work in. I work in customer Service and because of that... I am overly kind to others who work with the public. I am genuinely so hurt that I could be accused of doing something I did not do. The surveillance cameras can be viewed. There was no trickery. There was no deception. I haven't been inside a Kohl's in years, I came here to do a amazon return. Yeah they do that too! They give you a coupon if you do returns with them here to use on your next shopping trip at Kohl's. This place reminds of a more casual Macy's experience. It's super nice, clean and the people working here are always welcoming. I'd recommend coming here. It's in the plaza across from the hazel dell target. I love me some target but the prices at kohl's are amazing. Don't second guess your shopping experience, come here. read more

They give you a coupon when you drop off Amazon returns. Great! Problem is the coupon is not valid for many brands, kind of bait and switch in my book. Also pricing for the item selected did you ring up the sale price as noted on the electronic sign by the item. Waited for quite some time as they were supposedly getting someone to check it, I think they feel you will grow tired of waiting and just pay the original price. If I could leave a negative star I would! It's Black Friday 2022! I go to kohls searching the deals in their add from newspapers and when I get there at 5am to find the deals, first disappointment is they don't have any of the electronic's advertised! I have to go online for the tv's! Well that advertisement was misleading! So, since they accomplished getting me in the store that early I figured I would look around! And I find a "flash sale" sign with hoodies stacked beneath it! I choose one and head to the checkout! After standing in line for 15-20 minutes I finally get to purchased my items! When the associate scans the hoodie I ask "how much did it cost?" The associate told me a price ten dollars more! I question it because the sign clearly, in huge lettering said a different price! The associate told me she was sorry for my confusion, but there was a very much smaller sign off to the side with the price she was telling me! Well, actually there wasn't because I walked over to the display and there was NOT any other signs! TOTALLY MISLEADING! Not a good way to treat your customers! I was purchasing several items and had I not been paying attention to her ringing my things up (and usually I don't because of other distractions) I would have purchased that hoodie and got home and looked at receipt to find this issue! I'm very unhappy with the whole interaction! I most likely won't go to this store often! Nor will I recommend anyone else to go there either! Why would I want to let this place mislead me more?! I visited this location a few weeks ago. They had a great selection of items and the store was well kept. My only issue was this man following me around the whole store. He had on a kohl's name tag and I assume he was the manager. He made me very uncomfortable while shopping around. I think he thought I might be trying to steal something, which was not the case. He followed me for my duration of shopping and even followed me to the register and watched me check out and pay. This location is much closer than the other in Vancouver but for this reason I will drive to the other kohl's location in East Vancouver. They have the same selection and no one will follow you around and make you uncomfortable while shopping. read more

What's Kohl's? That's what my hubby and I asked when we moved to Hazel Dell. We never really shopped there before and to be honest, I never even thought it was a place I would shop. Now that it's 5 minutes from our house, we are there at least three times a month, mostly for things we don't need. So this is the breakdown: most of the things at regular price are way over priced, there are usually a ridiculous amount of sales going on, and they always do a get Kohl's cash back if you spend a certain amount. The only reason to shop here is to get deals. Coupons, Kohl's cash, and Kohl's rewards (OH MY!) Literally have spent $2 and gotten socks, a toy for my baby, and some yoga pants all because of the coupons and deals. It's addicting, which is why we go there when we don't need to. The reason the regular priced items are so pricy is because when they have "sales", it usually brings the price down to around regular price at other department stores and with the coupons and other stuff, you end up having more. It's a marketing ploy but it works, obviously. The stuff is decent, most bigger name brands. They don't have a huge selection but what they do have is usually marked down and seasonal. Overall, I love this store. I've gotten great deals and Black Friday, we got A LOT of nice things for cheap. This particular store has friendly staff and is pretty well organized. read more

I honestly really only shop here on Black Friday. This past BF, Kohl's was giving back $15 Kohl's Cash for every $50 you spend in store or online. I ended up spending $50 several times over and ended up with a fat wad of Kohl's Cash. Yay me! I really needed new bath towels something fierce, so this was probably the best thing that could have happened to me on Black Friday. I went back the following weekend to check out their selection of towels. They carry Sonoma, which are extremely soft, extra large towels in a variety of colors. I was able to get bath towels, hand towels, and wash clothes for nothing thanks to the Kohl's Cash. Do you have any idea how expensive quality towels are these days? It had been nearly a decade for me, so this was mind blowing. Thankfully Kohl's always has a coupon or promotion of some kind to help save more money. Today my daughter and I went school clothes shopping for my grandson.......who is in college! Anyway, he doesn't like to shop so it is a tradition. We went to several stores, including Macy's and Kohls. A young man named Jeremy helped us during our shopping and then checked us out. He was such a great help, and informative. He helped with money saving sales, and with us getting the special clothing we wanted. Today is Christmas Eve and the whole day was literally spent attempting to make a purchase there. The online website is completely bogus. We "shop our store" versus "online only" to narrow the selections down to the availability in the store that we've selected. Then when you chose an item that is available at your store it really isn't available. 95% of the items we chose based on in-store availability to our selected store was truly not available according to the website. We even visited the store, took pictures of the Barcodes to assist the phone agent in placing an order on our hehalf, yet it claims it's not in Stock at out store, even though the item was in our hands. So we literally spent 12 hours today trying to place an order that we walked away from in the end. Very dissatisfied with the online ordering experience. I would not recommend kohls.com to anybody. It's functionality is very poor. It only frustrates me, an advanced computer user. It would cause most people to run long before we finally gave up. (Btw, our goal was to place an online order for store pickup by someone else, since they were gifts and last minute notice that these people would be joining us for Christmas, and the person who was paying was not local to show up in person to purchase like usual) STEER CLEAR OF HERE !! It's more hassle then I have EVER had trying to give a store our business. 15+ years of shopping there and having a low balance charge account in excellent standing also. This kohls is like night and day for its sister one across town. The manager is a lot nicer or at least does a better job at pretending. Employees are super friendly and caring. The store is oddly clean, not in a good way this kohls is less shopped than its sister store. But if you really want something it is more likely to be in stock at this kohls. I prefer going to this store rather than its sister store due to being less crowed, customer service isn't a zoo, and the manager is great! read more
