The reviews are accurate in the items there-I have seen the same at other thrift stores around; nothing stood out in the experience. I have only a problem in that this website does not specify not accepting wedding dresses. This dress is brand new; 3 months special order from David's in a plus size and gorgeous. Perfect condition; I wanted only for someone in my area to benefit from it for a low cost without it running the risk of being handled in a thrift store. I am not certain how it could have been a deficit to the store as the dress is full lace and vintage looking as it gets. However, I couldn't even show it to her before cut off definitively. I agree with the last review when placing consignment up there in everything stated. It seems to be problems only with people coming to consign and it might very well be my appearance as well that made her more reserved although this is only an impression I got and by no means an absolute.

And she could probably sell hair gel to a bald person, she's just so good at what she does. That said she will not lead you astray and if something doesn't look good on you, she will kindly let you know. Everyone who works here is excellent, though, so don't worry! They often have sales, and have high quality clothing for all kinds of people, it is my preferred vintage spot in the area. I'll also note I'm a masculine woman and wear exclusively menswear and no one has ever made me feel odd about it here, which is not as common as one would think in this day and age.

I walked in and there were two racks of long gowns. I didn't want a formal gown, so I just went to the regular dresses. The woman came over and asked what I was looking for. Also, the opening of BJ's, Dick's House of Sports, and Dave and Buster's brought life back into the mall. With that help, the mall is still filled with some empty spaces. I'm sad to see FYE close when I last visited. I'm sure it has a long run. The Commons still looks well maintained and cleaned, and they do a great job with it. I must admit, my last dealing with the Vestal Men's Wearhouse was an aggravation. (It was a while…read moreago). Now, as stepfather of the bride, I reluctantly went back, and what a different experience this time!!! First let me say that the groom and his party were all outfitted here, and everyone was very pleased. Myself, I bought the entire outfit at Men's Wearhouse. Suit, shoes, belt, shirt and tie. (A nice Kenneth Cole outfit, and yeah- I look good in it!) I was all set. Until I got it in my head that the shirt was too big. So, in typical MAN's fashion- I waited until last week and KELLY happily and smoothy exchanged it for me. And also in typical man's fashion, I didn't try it on. Well, the wedding is tonight. Yesterday I tried on the shirt- and it's TOO SMALL, just too tight around the neck. So sheepishly I returned this morning to Men's Wearhouse and explained to TIOGA my scatter-brained problem. Much to my relief, without hesitation, she swapped out my shirt for me- AGAIN- and somehow, because of rewards points, etc.- I got a 77 cent REFUND!!! Any firm can sell you a suit. It's what they do when something goes wrong that really means everything. I was SOOO anxious about this shirt and KELLY and TIOGA were really so nice and helpful.
