We came here for dinner and had a very nice time! The restaurant is sparsely decorated, like many Japanese restaurants, but still has a cozy feel. The upstairs dining room is larger, but I ate downstairs so I could watch the sushi chefs (which is part of the fun for me of eating sushi). The sushi we had was not only beautifully served (see the photos), but very fresh and delicious. I also had a cooked dish of swordfish ("meca" in Portuguese), and while it was attractive, the fish was so overcooked that it was dry and tough, despite the fact that I asked the server to make sure the fish was on the underdone side. If not for this plate, I would've given the restaurant a better score.
This isn't the best Japanese restaurant in Recife, but it's still pretty good--just stick with the sushi. read more
