    The Ridge at Eastern Trails: Pros-new and clean. No carpet inside apts…read more Locked foyers (when residents don't keep doors propped open). Elevators. Laundry on-site. Small stackable W/D in some units. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location. Mostly quiet neighbors. No bogus move-out charges if cleaned to reasonable standards. Short-term leases available. Pets allowed with pet rent. Cons: Lack of amenities one might expect at this price point. Not enough parking. Snow plowing is a hassle-cars must be moved off the property for a couple of hours and sometimes began earlier than scheduled. Thin ceilings-we lived on a first floor end unit. Not much lateral noise but tenants above were perpetual "stompers". Cheap appliances: small, low, shallow fridge with no ice maker. Dishwasher left contents wet. Oven took forever to preheat. Mildew-like odor when heat was off. Water also tasted moldy (even during winter, so not an algae bloom problem). Can't comment on repairs, as we had no such issues.

It has tons of closets, new windows and sliders that open and close easily. Custom blinds that are easy to open. The cabinets are a little dated, but freshly painted. The laundry room is clean and well maintained as well. The leasing staff were awesome to work with. I worked with Katelyn, who is very patient! They even gave me a welcome bag. I have found the neighbors to be very warm and friendly as well. The only negative I can really give is the odor in the hallway - but I think you get that with any apartment.

    This company leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. I have lived at my present address for 10…read moreyears and I mostly try not to make any complaints because both board members are my neighbors. It is difficult to make complaints against any board member because they do not really want to address it with them and they offer little in resolution when there is a problem. I was sent a bill for trash around a bush without ever being given a warning first. The rules say first offense $25 fine after being given a notice, 2nd offense $50 fine. I got not notification of the offense, and they charged me $50 for the offense! I was a bit upset about that so I proceeded to take photos of the trash they had around the back of their unit and the bleep hit the fan and they've made my life miserable since. The previous property manager at the company sent me a nasty personal email, saying I was an old hag and should get a life and stop complaining! When you say these people are rude, you're being polite. There absolutely nasty and I'd fire them if I was on the board.

I asked a question over a year ago and still no response. I made an appointment to get a pool key and the process still took over an hour to get the key as they couldn't find the right association only to be given a key that didn't work. You pay a condo fee so you don't have to do things. The grass at our condos looks horrible, there is peeling paint everywhere and the condo fees go up every year! They never put anything out to bid and then say "they are the only ones" when there are companies to take care of things much closer. Keep looking if you are looking for a new condo management company.
