You will not receive the rug you purchased. We purchased a 3' x 5' rug from Punto and Metin Taki Kuy.Guzellik. He convinced us to have them ship the rug to avoid carrying it with us and he would pay the import fees. The rug we received was a used/returned rug which was one-third the size of the one we purchased. The company has been in business a long time, but they cheated us out of thousands of dollars. We attempted to contact them several times and they never responded. If you choose to purchase a rug from Punto or Metin Taki Kuy.Guzellik, take the rug with you. Do not trust them to send what you purchased. They will cheat you and you will lose your money.

The men who run this carpet stall are father and son. The father taught us about where the carpets were from. He also told us he had a "sister in Manhattan, 40 years!" Every salesman in Istanbul has a "brother in San Diego." Not sure I believed him, but either way they gave us some Turkish tea and we were on our way to haggle city. They brought everything in their piles down to show us. It was impressive. We did the dance for a little while, and at the end, we had a price we both liked.
