When confronted about why he wouldn't seat us, in Japanese, he became uncomfortable and gave us a business card. No business should treat customers this way in 2024.

The carciofo roll was the most creative and tasty vegan option I have seen at a sushi place. It had an artichoke cream on top and a little bit of fried vegtables inside. In Niwa's case they've done a very good job of serving genuine food that correctly represents both Thai and Japanese cuisine. My friends and I ordered a series of dishes in order to sample all that the restaurant had to offer (ranging from pad thai to seared salmon) and discovered that not only were the dishes flavorful but also very filling. Definitely plan on popping in again. On a side note, the restaurant seems to fill up once it hits 9:00PM (or in Italian format 21:00) so make sure to come a little earlier if you don't want to wait.
