Not really sure what all the hype is about......it's literally ice and syrup that tastes like medicine. I absolutely did not like it and neither did my family. It didn't have the dome shape which you anticipate when eating a snowcone. I was hoping for more as they are always advertised. I'll try to give it a second chance but I don't seem hopeful. read more

History

Established in 2010.

Kona Ice was created in Northern Kentucky in 2007, born out of a bad experience with an ice cream truck. Tony Lamb was determined to revitalize a nostalgic industry that had fallen into shambles. The first franchised Kona Entertainment Vehicles rolled out over the next few years, some reaching North Carolina in early 2010. As of early 2018, there are now nearly 1000 KEVs rolling around neighborhoods all over delighting people of all ages.
