With recent sump backup and water lines breaking in my house basement, I had to have my basement…read moreelectrical rewired. Brentan came out 12pm sharp like he stated he would. He walked me through the process on how they would repair everything and provided a quote. He never made me feel rushed as I wanted to understand what all they were going to do. Once I confirmed the quote and stated I wanted to move forward with the install I received a call from the office to setup the appointment. Eli and Drew showed up on time and were very polite and professional. Eli reviewed with me what we were needing done, you would of thought he quoted the job the way he was prepared and knew exactly what was going where for the rewire. So their internal communication process along with Brentan taking pictures with his iPad works. Eli and Drew worked great as a team and got right to work. After they were done they cleaned up after themselves and you couldn't tell they had even been there. Eli reviewed the rewire project with me, once I confirmed we were good, we did the paperwork and he allowed me to pay right there. Edelman Electric also wired my house 10 years when we build and that process was just as easy. They know what they are doing and provide recommendations on what other people do with new homes. They step you through the process from when you walk into a room to how you might split some lights away from others to provide better lighting options. We have had 0 electrical issues with our house over the 10 years. I 100% recommend this company.

In January of 2016 our basement flooded and the furnace needed repairs. The first tech Edelman's…read moresent out was 30 minutes late. When the tech finally arrived he was able to diagnose that the furnace blower was out and needed replacing. After the tech left, we noticed a hot electrical smell coming from the furnace, and then smoke and a popping sound. Scared that there could be a fire, we called the tech back and he rushed over to remove the blower and set it outside in the snow so that it "wouldn't start a fire" before leaving again. After discussing with Barb the expense and wait time, the new blower was ordered. 8 days later (with no heat, in the middle of January, with apparently no one at Edelman's grasping the urgency of being without heat in the middle of January) A second tech arrived, replaced the blower and then proceeded to tell me that another part (that we already replaced) needed replaced, THEN asked me if the basement had flooded recently? Here we are over a week into a single repair job, and there was a tech asking me basic questions their employer should have made clear when assigning them the job. After I told the tech we already replaced that part, and asked why would it need replacing again, he said he didn't know, but assured me after I replaced that other part that it "should work" and then he handed me a bill for just shy of $900 and promptly left. When I went to see what sort of condition the furnace was in, I was brought to tears. There were large parts of my furnace still unattached where the tech did not reattach them. Other parts and tools were just laying on the floor, or hanging from furnace wire. The blower motor housing wasn't reattached to the furnace wall and the door to the furnace wasn't closed, leaving wires and parts dangling everywhere, some almost to the floor. The tech unattached a number of wires and did not label any, so we did not know how to fix them. In short: I called Edelman's too fix my furnace, and that didn't happen. In fact, with the exception of replacing the blower motor, they made our situation objectively worse. After the repairs, my husband and I fell on some hard financial problems and had difficulty in making payments. I did not want to leave this review until after I had paid off the bill in full, as I did not want to be accused of trying to skip out on payment. Now that I have paid, I feel I and other potential customers in the area are entitled to know what sort of service they can expect from Edelman's. I do not fault any of the techs in their work. I blame a lazy management's faulty training/work ethic, and will advise anyone who would consider Edelman's in the future to go PLEASE elsewhere.

I'm writing this review from a very satisfied customer perspective - who recently spend a few…read morethousand dollars with Goodberlet. I've used them twice. The first time was in 2021 when we got our ducts cleaned. They were very thorough - ensuring all input and output ducts were clean and explaining the process. The second time was just the other day (Nov 2024). I wanted the ducts clean and set an appointment for 2 weeks out - BUT - then the furnace stopped working to I called for advice. They sent a technician out as soon as feasible (the next day) who did a thorough investigation and said that our furnace was 23 years old, and 8 years past it's expected "lifetime". I'd noticed that it wasn't heating our bedroom well anymore. He gave us the option to repair it, yet also said we could get a new furnace for about 3 times to cost it would take to repair and be more energy efficient. We sat down and discussed pros and cons with no pressure. We ended up buying the new furnace - as they installed - they explained how to work it and what the differences would be. While they were coming, we looked into a more energy-efficient air conditioner as well - as ours was 28 years old and figured "while they are here". They took the time to explain the differences between 1996 technology and 2024 technology. By having them install both a new furnace, and new A/C, as well as clean the ducts - they were here for 10 hours - and wouldn't leave until they were sure everything was right - even though it was 7:45 at night when they finished and pitch dark out! Afterwards, I needed a combined receipt, and I talked to Christine and she quickly got me what I needed.

The amount of materials required for the job appears to have been significantly overstated. Unless I had specifically questioned the excess, it seems the unused materials would have been removed and potentially used elsewhere despite being charged to my account. What was even more concerning was the lack of communication afterward. When I attempted to address these concerns, the manager did not make himself available to discuss the matter or answer my questions. This experience left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the company's materials ordering and customer service practices. Customers should be aware.
