As I patiently waited I was able to observe class room 1 (the infant room) to the left of the elevator. and all children were in cribs crying, while unattended with the lights on. When some one finally came to greet me, it was about 10 to 15 minutes into my observation. The director told me the children were napping. I told her about my observation and that the lights were on. It was approximately 11:35 am. I asked to see infant schedule to confirm naptime, and I was denied. She told me if I register my child I will see it. She was very rude and suggested I dont register my child if I had any complaints. I wasnt at all rude neither did I complain. I was only concerned and had a few questions. I realize everyone is entitled to their own opinion and or views so I chose not to go back and forth with her or or enroll my child. I just pray this isnt some one elses business they have just sabotaged. Atleast no one was being abused. Hence the purpose for the 2 star and not 1.

Melanie was one of a small handful of daycares with space and looking back I think the timing of everything was just serendipitous. I can't imagine a more wonderful caretaker and teacher for my daughter. She's not only kind, loving, and incredibly grounded, she's also attentive to the individual needs of every child she cares for and creates a consistent environment. My daughter had trouble napping and had some stranger anxiety. Melanie worked with us to acclimate her and had her on a nap schedule within the first 2 weeks. To top it off, she teaches so well that my now 20 month old is singing her abc's and knows her shapes. She comes home with holiday projects. My 3 year old attended as a 3k student in which the love, warmth, and guidance he received from Ms. Michelle and Ms. Galilea was unparalleled. He was challenged with new letters, engaged in fun arts projects, and was frequently brought outside with his friends. My 6 month year old received above and beyond attention and care from Ms. Jo-ann, Ms. Ashley, Ms. Karina, and Ms. Esther. When he left they created a book to remember TLE by--and weeks later when we would say Ms. Esthers name he would smile and make noises! All the teachers knew both my boys personally and would communicate daily about their milestones. The admin team at the time of Ms. Erica and Mr. Richard were also phenomenal. They communicated effectively, and despite running a school with so many young people, knew my boys well! TLE felt like a home away from home. We had traveled to the daycare/3K site and only left to be closer to home and have less of a commute. If you are in the LIC area, I cannot recommend both the care and educational experience of the Learning Experience!
