I booked a 1:00pm appointment in advance and confirmed it. I went to the clinic and the technician was not there. They had me drive to another physicians office. Upon check in I had to fill out doctor paperwork despite not seeing any of their doctors. Then I waited for 20 minutes. At 1:30 I walked out. I am not sure what is going on with this clinic. I have used them several times in the past but recently they never return calls and I had an appointment which I took off work to attend and was confirmed by their online system I got there q0 min early and waited 20 min after the appointment time and NO ONE SHOWED UP! I could not believe it. I called several times and no one bothered to return my calls. They simply canceled my appointment on the online system 2 hrs after I was supposed to have the appointment. read more

I've seen Vicki twice in the past for Botox prior to her opening the Ko'olau Clinic. I found her on Yelp, and she was ALWAYS very quick with replying. I haven't seen her in years, but each time I text her, she's always accommodating and ready to answer my questions. She is extremely skilled and personable. She tells you exactly what she's doing, and why she's doing it. That's important if you're trusting someone to poke your face and temporarily paralyze your facial muscles! I recently went to Koolau clinic to inquire about my aging skin. After a very warm consultation with Dr. Kathy I decided to go with some Botox as a treatment. This little oasis is tucked away in fashionable Kailua town, down a side alley, and up some open air stairs. I wasn't expecting the gorgeous spa atmosphere I walked into with a complete set up for any treatment you could want. I particularly loved the sparkling accent wall but the best part was the ultra lux massage table with a memory foam topper that felt like something you'd find in a lavishly expensive spa in NY. I went in for a microdermabrasion and salicylic acid treatment. Vicki was so professional and made me feel comfortable immediately. She went in depth with all of my skin requirements and medical issues that could have affected my experience. Then a lovely face massage came with a cleanser. She took a good look at my skin before she used the microdermabrasion machine in gentle passes, checking on how I felt as we went. The acid was slightly stinging but she alleviated the light sting with fanning, again checking on my comfort constantly. When she was done, she put some sunscreen on and went over the process of healing and skin turnover I'd be experiencing. She advised me on what to use and what not to, never pushing products on me like other facial it's have done to me. I walked out happy and glowing! I went in to Ko'olau Beauty's new, stunning spa room in Kailua today. It's gorgeous and so relaxing inside, with this amazing spa table that lifts and lowers electrically and has this insanely comfortable mattress on it. I wanted to sleep there. I had the microdermabrasion treatment, my second from Vicki but my first in her new place. Then she added a salycilic acid treatment to give me some help with my oily skin and wrinkles. These treatments have cumulative results so I was expecting a huge difference after 2 treatments but after Vicki did the microdermabrasion, which was very comfortable, and then the acid layers...2 of them, which stung lightly but I expected that, she took the sting away quickly using a fan, and applied some sunscreen. She checked on my comfort often too. After all this, I was shocked when I looked in the mirror and saw my smooth, glowing skin. I actually posted a pic on Instagram with the hashtag "NoFilter". I was having stress headaches for a while. The constant pain affected my home life, work and sleep. A constant pain ran from the back of my head down to bottom of my neck. Ibuprofen would only temporarily take the edge off.
