Wow, what can I say? I went to the other Thai place yesterday due to local recomendations and I was not impressed. So I decided to try this establishment and wow! Great service, knowledgeable staff, quick turn around, professional, attentive, and great flavor! 5 stars all the way! I never went thirsty. I'm picky when it comes to my water refills. Loved it here. The service was always prompt and checkups were perfectly timed. I asked for 2 items to be mixed because I'm used to broccoli garlic chicken and they did not hesitate. The flavors we're so good! Perfectly mixed and the broccoli delightfully steamed. Portion size was great too! More than fair pricing and I didn't even have to ask for rice or ask for more! I had really awful summer rolls here on my first visit and decided to give this place a second try. I stood by the door waiting to be seated and was ignored by the waitress. This is our go-to place for take out. They have awesome vegan options and the team is so great at modifying dishes to make them vegan for you. Our favorites are the curries. The pumpkin and panang curry are AMAZING with half tofu half veggies. read more

Awful Thai food; would never order again. The kee mao was like the worst version of drunken noodles, basically inedible and we threw it away. We asked for brown rice and a Thai iced tea, both were not there but we didn't realize till we got home. They don't have pork and shrimp in the spring rolls, so they were rolls with just carrots and pink (old) lettuce, disgusting. And they had a somewhat edible bbq chicken curry dish served with white steamed rice that was soggy/mushy for some reason. I've never in my life had Thai food like this! read more

The restaurant was nicely decorated with traditional Thai and Lao artwork and music instruments. The staff working are really friendly and very attentive to the customers needs. It felt like they checked in on us every few minutes to see if we needed anything. Hands down great customer service! The food tasted good, The Red curry was yummy as well as the papaya salad. I am use to spicy being married to a Lao Lady so if your a person who likes spicy you will really need to explain that you want it spicy. There version of spicy is very mild to those who traditional eat very spicy food. so be sure to get that message across to them lol. The pork fried rice was different. Don't get me wrong it tasted good but it was missing the traditional ingredients, veggies, didn't see and scrambled egg either. Presentation of the food is ok. Good use some enhancements to complement the food they are presenting to there customers. Don't get me wrong the food does taste good :) There portions are large and the price is better than the average dinner cost. I ordered Satay chicken, lemongrass chicken, a beef entree (crying tiger), and a salad roll appetizer. The salad roll appetizer was nothing but some iceberg lettuce and a bit of shaved carrot. This is the worst Thai food I've ever had. It was extremely Bland. I had to add salt and pepper to everything. All the vegetables were steamed with no seasoning whatsoever and none of the meat entrees had any seasoning either. The peanut sauce was also terribly bland and inedible. I've eaten here for many years but not often since the pandemic. I ordered take out last week (Oct 2022) and was really disappointed. I ordered 2 salad roll appetizers and they gave me 1/2 the usual sauces. The pad Thai was frankly pretty bad. The noodles were ok. But the rest was tasteless. The curry was ok. But no better than ok. Visited this restaurant tonight with my partner. Not impressed. We ordered pad see ew and pad thai. The pad see ew noodles were not flavorful and the pad thai noodles, though much better than the pad see ew, were overcooked so they were sticking together and were a touch mushy. The pad thai sauce was pretty good though. Service was mediocre. Price was reasonable, but I probably wouldn't go back again. This review is more on their to-go packaging and continued use of styrofoam clamshells that are prone to leak a large amount of your dish's sauce all over the box, and if your to-go order isn't in a bag or in a plastic bin, all over your seat on the drive home. I got a Thai chicken salad to go. No utensils had to go back and the guy said I just gave out my last two forks. Then I notice no dressing,my husband goes back second time and asks for the peanut dressing not knowing what to ask for and the guy gives him peanut sauce cold which makes no sense for my salad so I go back third time now and ask is there dressing that goes with the salad? This is our all-time favorite spot in Camas! Kop Chai is a family owned restaurant. We are regulars here and we love supporting a family run business. Customer service is always outstanding. We've never had an issue with being treated well. Everyone that works here is very kind and pleasant to talk to. We love their Tofu Pad Thai with no egg, and coconut milk Thai Iced Tea. It always hits the spot, especially after a long day. Food portions are great. Food tastes good. I actually prefer their pad thai over some other places, but that's just me! We are able to call in our order and pick it up in about 10-15 minutes depending on how busy they are. Sometimes I'll stop by and have a meal on my own and it's always comfortable. It's not a super fancy place by any means, but it's comfortable and accommodating. We keep menus in our Air BnB and recommend it to guests! read more

I love Thai food! It's one of my favourite foods. To say we were massively disappointed with our three dishes is an understatement. I won't rip this place apart as I really don't want to hurt feelings. I wouldn't ever recommend this place and I won't go back. Customer service was fine! The restaurant smelled fine. It's clean. The bathroom was good. Prices are what you would expect. Food. We ordered the papaya salad for the starter. My husband thought it was salty. If it was, that didn't bother me. We asked for HOT. No spice. The onion made no statement. I didn't really get much of the mint flavour. Papaya salad is usually so robust with flavour and texture! The first thought after my first bite was sadness. It's felt like they didn't put a lot of thought into the papaya. It was roughly chopped, like I was being punished. My husband's chicken stir fry came as he ordered but NOT spicy. He said the sauce tasted boring. My chicken larb was heartbreaking. It wasn't spicy as I asked. And again, it was not nuanced. Ginger? Garlic? Who knows. The ground chicken reminded me of flaked tuna. We asked for boxes to take our dinner home. I'll spice it up and flavour our meals tomorrow. I hope we caught them on an off night. read more
