And that's not including any fish or vegetables. This place is pricey. But its good for you. The food is fresh, there is a big variety of things, they have a great deli section for you to take out hand made, fresh cakes, salads, etc. So I guess that you are paying for the quality ingredients....and good for you stuff. Just don't come the day before you get paid, coz this place is no bargain basement. It is worth coming on a Saturday, as there are loads of free samples dotted around the place, and if you eat enough then you will stop being hungry and buy less, so you will be able to afford your rent. I can't remember the exact time, to be honest. While I was doing my shopping, carrying a heavy bag for protection, a very large man not only brushed past me but nearly knocked me over as if he were a moving vehicle. Thankfully, I'm physically strong, but if it had been a child, a woman, or an elderly person, he could have caused serious harm. Tesco staff are usually friendly and helpful, and I've always appreciated the store for its quality products and affordable prices. Unfortunately, some customers behave in a completely uncivilised way. I understand that people can act unpredictably at times, but basic civility should be a given especially in 2025. I found the staff cheerful and helpful, and willing to accommodate by setting the last tube aside for a day while I made up my mind. (It was a bit pricey, even so.) Yes, it's a little store but for my money, it's good value and I hope it does well. I've been back three times and loved every visit. Their breads are as good as any around.

I've now ordered twice, and while I'm grateful to be able to get delivery, they are not a fully slick service so there might be the following issues: 1) When you email the order, you have to wait for them to call back to give you a delivery date. And it has to be delivered the next day after they call you to take payment 2) I had an order come a day later than was given 3) I've had items missing from my order, some charged and some not 4) I've had an item expiring 4 days before my delivery date, and another expiring the same day. 5) They cannot process refunds at this point, the only thing they can do is after COVID lockdown is over, you have to visit the shop in Chinatown with your invoices and complaint, and they will sort it out there. So if you're willing to accept the above, then this is a great way to get some Asian groceries delivered directly to your door.

I don't shop here often and find it a little hard to navigate. The range isn't bad though it's not as comprehensive as some of the bigger supermarkets. I can always pick up a few things (courgette, peppers, potatoes, etc), but know that I will need to make them within the day. It's a good incentive to get cooking! They have all the usual things too of course: milk, eggs, bread, etc. The staff has always been friendly, it's well priced for the area and I've not been let down yet. OH, and the best part!? No one touches me while I shop (due to overcrowding), I don't have to wait in a huge que when I just need butter or milk, and for godssakes I don't have to suffer through the "convenient" self-checkout process. EXCEPT, this corner shop has an Asian food section that means I don't ever have to go to Chinatown to get fresh tofu or kimchi again, it's all right there at Lodos. I wasn't sure whether they would have everything we needed for a cooking project, and they really did. Plenty of spices, sauces, condiments and shelf groceries, as well as fridge and freezer options. I was genuinely impressed. We looked around the rest of the shop and it seemed better than your average corner shop, a good range of spices and I can imagine you'll find most of what you need there. But for me, this is genuinely going to change the way I shop, and let me do more interesting international cooking.

I do not know...maybe there is a bigger slower sister market somewhere) many times on my pilgrimage to the Columbia Road Flower Market. I always vow to pop in for a bubble tea (one of my vices) and finally, finally -- I made it. With a boba virgin, no less! So my pal and I sidle up and make some decisions. They have a pretty good setup, not super super extensive, but surely cover the basics. I go for a red bean milk tea with boba, she goes for a passionfruit juice tea (clear) with boba. Both are hits! Both with actually honest to god ICE. So they are cold and boba-y and perfect. They use powders (not real fruit) but so it goes. The guys were friendly and there is a whole market of oddities (to me) that I'll be back to explore. I'll also be hitting up the fresh made bahn mi bar, where you can customise the toppings and get it rarin' to go. The stuff looked pretty fresh, we'll see. They also let me know they are opening a new bubble tea shop on Kingsland road with a more extensive line of bubble teas, so I'll 1. locate it and 2. review it ASAP. Because I love all of you. It's highly recommended to come earlier because according to some friends, there have been days where just about everything was out of stock. So do be aware of this. There's a selection of vegetables, tofus, meats, desserts in the fresh produce. The frozen section is incredibly massive and has just about everything you are looking for! Dumplings, cakes, meats, fish balls of all sorts, etc. The dry goods have a nice variety of noodles, sauces, spices and snacks! As of right now they are rather short on staff so the queue is a pretty long at the moment! Overall pretty good first impression since I came and everything is well stocked.
