It's open for lunch most days and less busy during the day. The menu is fairly varied with a big selection of cold and hot starters, fish, gyros and other greek specialities. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have a selection of drinks including greek beer and, some greek wine. We shared a cold Mezze plate and it had a nice selection of dips, calamari salad and beans. All of these tasted quite nice and I really liked it. For main I had grilled calamari which was delicious although, it had a bit too much olive oil used. The flavour was great and I enjoyed the tender calamari. I also tasted the octopus and it was also amazingly tender. I would happily come back here again and try a few more dishes. Food is good and reasonably priced and the service is very friendly.

Things to know: This place fills up fast so make sure you show up early! The staff doesn't speak much English, so try to know some menu-basics. They only take cash so be prepared. We saw at least 6 waiters at our table, asking questions the other waiters had already asked, bringing food and drinks not knowing who ordered what, bringing food not at the same time, one main dish was already half cold, we never got asked if we wanted another drink from the moment all our glasses were empty till we paid (30-45 minutes), one waiter was rude after we asked for something another waiter had promised, no proper greeting when arriving or good bye when leaving, 4 hooks to hang coats resulting I. It being nearly impossible to find your jacket back under all the other ones. I think the problem here is that the restaurant is family owned and the owner doesn't realise he/she needs to hire someone who has learned how to run a restaurant. And that a restaurant like this is full every night anyway, just because of it's location. So yeah, the owner doesn't realise people are there for the location, not the quality.

During the summer months there is not a single seat available outside and, I have often seen people waiting for a table. So when fellow Yelper Abhi suggested we try some place new for dinner, the decision was simple, here ;-)) The interior here is quite big and L shaped with about 20 tables or so and, it was almost full for the evening when, we arrived without a reservation. We were seated promptly and the service was nice and friendly. Our waitress was nice but, she did do the bare minimum and, made no attempt at any conversation. She was prompt with the orders and also clearing up the tables. We ordered the house Greek red wine which was ok after a few sips but, it did start off like rocket fuel ;-)) Never really been a fan of Greek wine and, this one was no exception. We shared a Kalypso meat plate for two which came with lamb, beef and pork all grilled. It also came with a side of tzaziki. The meat was relatively dry and, I loved the gyros meat and the meat ball. The rest was kind of ok. The dish could do with a bit of sauce or something to moisten the meat. It was a big portion and we could not finish it all. For dessert I had Pannacotta which was quite ok and, with the side of ice cream it was quite nice. Service here is 4 star, Food is 3.5 star, ambience is 4 star and, the host of this place is really nice guy who offered us a shot of uzzo on the house and, that was a nice gesture. He also checked up on us regularly, to see if everything was ok. I would come back here again and try some of the other dishes on the menu. Not bad at all for a Greek restaurant in the neighbourhood.
