As we are moving out of our old house into a new house that does not have a septic tank, I just want to say I'm really going to miss these guys. They are family run, super friendly, super knowledgeable and they do not try to nickel and dime you. They try to empower you to provide the maintenance that you need on your tank so that you don't need to call them as much and you're able to save money with doing regular maintenance. We did not need to pump out our septic for 9 years because of the assistance we got from them in doing regular maintenance and it is just a godsend. When you think about nightmares that you see with septic tanks things exploding things going wrong. We use them to help get risers installed to make our system better and more efficient. Another great job by Berry & CJ owners of Kountry Fresh Septic. As requested, they came out and relocated our electrical box from above ground to below ground where it is tucked out of the way and protected from damage. During the relo of the box Berry discovered that the valve that controls the water pressure to the septic field was turned all the way open for maximum pressure. No doubt yet another oversight from the septic company that installed our system when the house was built. After thoroughly explaining the valves function he turned it down to the proper head pressure for the type and distance of our septic field. This will ensure optimum performance and longevity of the septic field going forward. Berry also checked the sludge levels for each tank and checked the alarm float. The entire job was quick, professional, and thorough. It is a delight to find a company that exhibits integrity along with great service. We had Kountry Fresh out today to handle two different tanks at different houses. They were efficient, professional, and pleasant. When they got to the second tank, however, they immediately noted that it wasn't all that full. They brought out a measuring pipe, checked all three chambers, and told us that we just didn't need to have that tank cleaned out. You can imagine that there are firms who would just go ahead and do the job and charge us anyways. But not these guys: they said it would be wrong of them to do unneeded work, and in spite of the trip and taking all the covers off to check them, they left without billing for that job. But it's absolutely necessary to do right if you don't want your investment and home destroyed. To do it right, and to not get ripped off, you need to call THIS company. These folks are honest. We moved to Texas from the north east one year ago where we lived on septic and well. So we are no strangers to septic. The recent Ice Apocalypse put our knowledge to the test, frozen pipes, frozen tankless system and failing septic. I call Kountry to schedule a tank pumping but the Extremally friendly and knowledgeable woman (J.C.) stayed on the phone with me for an hour and walked me through a checklist of things. Long story short she helped me to get the system draining again. She also called me back an hour later to see if it was still draining. OH! she stood nothing to gain because her company only does pumping and she said I didn't need to have it pumped since we had it pumped 10 months ago. We were in need of septic service. 1) pump died after 14 years 2) tanks needed to be pumped out Berry came out and replaced the pump for us so we could lower the level in the third tank so we could exist for a week until they could come back and pump out & clean the tanks. I was not at home when he replaced the pump but he provided excellent info & education to my wife. Today they came back and pumped the tanks. They were thorough and professional. They educated me on how to properly maintain my system. Why didn't anyone tell me there is a filter in a septic tank that should be cleaned every six months? They found tree roots growing into the tank and told me how I can handle those. They made recommendations for maintenance etc. They provided clear written summary when it was all done. As much as nobody wants to think about this sort of thing, they did an excellent job of enlightening me and making me realize that I need to pay much more attention to the system to keep it working properly. They are busy busy people. If you need service call them ahead of time and get scheduled. I highly recommend them. I called them on a Friday, they came out on time first thing Monday morning. They were very safety conscious and were able to back their truck down a 300 foot driveway, so they could pump from the gravel road 70 feet away from the septic. That way they wouldn't disturb my neighbor's driveway. It didn't take long to empty it, and they were gone in a flash. All of this on New Years Eve mind you! We had them out today because our drains weren't draining out into our septic tank. They are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and they don't try to get you to buy things that aren't needed. If you don't need pumping, they won't try to get you to do it (they didn't put MP mine today). You can be sure that if these folks tell you you need to pump, then you definitely need to pump. If there are more stars to give, I would have given all to Kountry Fresh Septic because they deserve it. When our first home was under contract in July 2016, we reached out to CJ for pumping the septic tank under the house as well as conducting a septic inspection. They brought a wonderful inspector along with them. It was in the middle of the summer and the Texas heat didn't stop them from doing a helluva great work. Berry and CJ are extremely knowledgeable and honest. They passed along lots of good information regarding how to take care of the septic system. Now, we closed on the house. Believe it or not, it's only been two months and we had to pump the tank again and we wondered why. CJ and Berry worked on it again without us even physically being at the house. After they finished their work, CJ called me in the evening explaining why the tank was full so quickly, what they did to clean it up, and what to do to prevent that from happening again in great detail. Please do not ignore how many folks have great experiences with Kountry Fresh. The primary reason I chose these folks is because of the great reviews. My experience was exactly like every other review on here. Their customer service is the best I have experienced across any industry. My wife and I are first time home buyers and barely knew anything about septic tanks. I spoke with CJ to set up our appointment and she was 1) courteous 2) knowledgeable 3) and very easy to talk to. She quoted us for the pump and inspection and gave us their yelp discount. Time comes for the inspection and they take a look down the hole and found that the septic tank looks great. The inspector was out at another job so, we get to talking with Barry and CJ. They answered every question we had about septic systems. They gave us tips, instructions, a tour of our septic tank, ways to keep it up to date for another 40 years, etc. The inspector comes out next and he takes a look and basically confirms Barry and CJ's original assessment. He almost repeated the exact same things Barry told us and didn't contradict him at all. Because they didn't need to do a pump, they refused to let us pay. Not only did they stand there for 2 hours with us answering all our questions, but because they didn't actually use their equipment they didn't charge us. These two folks are outstanding individuals and they deserve your business. They care about the customer, they want to see you have a good experience and they are a hilarious couple. This is a friendly married couple that work together and work hard. I'm new to septic systems and they answered all my questions and gave me a short lesson in how to care for and maintain my system. I ended up not having to use Kounty Fresh's service as they were booked through the day (could not come until the next morning) and I was able to find a local service offering a fair same-day price. However, I thought I should note that the customer service Kountry Fresh delivered was second-to-none. I originally scheduled service with them and the lady on the phone gave me some basic tips about things I could do to prepare my septic before they came. These were simple maintenance things I could do in a few hours just to prevent additional charges if they were to come out. She was even nice enough to call back and offer a few additional tips about how we could temporarily resolve the problem to get us through the night until tomorrow morning. Kountry Fresh responded quickly, and promptly diagnosed the issue and solution. I called Kountry Fresh to come out and pump our septic system because we were getting gas backed up in our buildings. They scheduled a prompt visit, showed up on time, and provided great service. 99 out of 100 septic services would just pump the septic and take my money. Kountry Fresh actually told me I didn't need to pump the system for at least another year. They walked me through my system and identified several other issues that are causing me septic problems. They were genuinely concerned about finding me the best solution to my problem, even though they weren't the solutions I called them about. They left only after making sure I understood their recommendations (easy, cheap fixes for my problem) and didn't take advantage of a customer who didn't know enough about septic systems.
