He was in excruciating pain immediately following the procedure, and despite repeated attempts to reach the podiatrist, we were unable to speak with him until the following afternoon. Because the surgery was performed on a Friday and the office was closed, we felt completely without guidance or support during what turned out to be a very difficult postoperative period. Instead of addressing our concerns with compassion, the podiatrist became confrontational when asked why we received no post operative guidance and why he was unavailable. He raised his voice, spoke over me and focused on defending himself rather than addressing my husband's condition. As a spouse advocating for my husband, I found his behavior both shocking and unprofessional. My husband is currently hospitalized due complications from his surgery but we are hoping for a full recovery. I realize that complications can come from any surgery but communication, availability and respectful treatment of patients should never be an option. Due to our experience I cannot recommend this practice. I have to leave a star unfortunately in order to post this review.

Researching podiatrist online, Dr. Carollo's reviews were absolutely stellar, so I decided to give her a try, hoping the reviews weren't too good to be true. They absolutely weren't! Dr. Carollo is such a genuinely kind and attentive doctor. She really listened to what I was experiencing with my foot and gave me several non-invasive options to try to heal an inflamed nerve. I'm happy to report after following her recommendation and getting custom orthotics the nerve has finally healed and feels back to normal. And as an added benefit the orthotics have helped some other foot and ankle fatigue I previously experienced after working out. A win-win! The pickleball side to side movement exacerbated the pain in the front of my feet because my feet were not aligned. I opted to have the small titanium screw inserted just under my ankles on both feet to re-align the bones in my feet so that the pain will go away and I can be active again. The surgery was the most non-invasive procedure I could imagine. I can already tell I am carrying my weight on the outside of my foot instead of the middle to inside. Choosing Dr. Weinert was not done lightly. I sought him out specifically to care for my feet not just for his glowing reputation, but for the most important one to me. My mother who was a type 2 diabetic for over 40 years constantly raved about the services she received from Dr. Weinert. Imagine my surprise when I also found out that he was treating her at NO COST when her insurance changed and didn't cover the services.....this went on for YEARS. We lost my mom in 2018, and when I came in for my consult, Dr. Weinert and Donna spent so much time talking about memories of my mom and how much they loved her. They are not only highly skilled professionals, but they truly care for the people they treat. My mom also bragged about all the philanthropic work Dr. Weinert does in the community and how much that meant to her. That is so hard to find in today's world. I seriously feel like the two negative reviews that are posted about this practice are BOGUS and should be seen for what they are and removed.
