The food was great! The person i was with ordered two types of tacos and sides including Mexican style corn. I ordered crab cake salad and fish and chips. Portions were extremely small and priced around $10 a meal so $20+ a piece. The fish was like 4 high quality fish sticks - better flavor but same size. The chips were potato chips. Salad was good quality lettuce. I would suggest not ordering the fish and chips due to potion size. The crab cakes and salad was a bigger portion. I actually was surprised at the high stars as I give 90% of the places i review 4-5 stars but with the portion to price I couldn't go higher than 2 stars. read more

Tried the Springdale location. Worst shrimp appetizer ever. Worst fish and chips ever. Worst catfish dinner ever. All fish was old an freezer burnt. Not able to consumer any of the items. Fries, drinks and waitress was far. Don't think I'll give it another try. read more

The food was definitely a five! We had fried catfish Kraken fries, Mexican street corn, and coleslaw!! There were only two servers and the place was slammed... Being full to capacity at 3 PM is a testimony to the good food. The servers were pretty sweet but stretched so thin... We would definitely come back and eat this good food again! read more

I sent them a facebook message to see if they would be willing to make me a bag with just chicken and sausage. The person who spoke with me on facebook was super nice and helpful. So I called the order in later. The girl who answered the phone wasnt that great, but I got the order through to her. She almost seemed put out to be taking a phone order. I had to repeat the other order I was placing multiple times before she understood. We didnt wait long for the food and it was still hot when we got back to the office. I ordered the chicken and sausage with flavortown seasoning in hot. I should have ordered medium, as the hot was nose running, lip burning and a bit too much for me. I like things spicy, but with all the other flavors going on, I would much rather have had medium. The sausage was great, you get what appears to be one link cut into 6 or 7 1in pieces. It was flavorful and really good. The chicken was cooked nicely and the seasoning was delicious. My friend had the firecracker shrimp, he said that it could have been spicier, as the name implied spice and it was more sweet than spicy. He said the fries were great! Overall, I would go back. It was a little pricey, but that's to be expected in a place like this. It was filling and tasted great. read more

Just ate here for the first time and really liked how hot and fresh the food was. I only had a Shrimp Po' Boy and fries but the bread was perfectly crusty the shrimp were well cooked the lettuce was fresh and crisp and there was just enough sauce to give it flavor but not so much as to make it messy to eat. The fries were almost addictive, they are obviously tossed in a coating that makes them crispy and flavorful. As for atmosphere and comfort, there is music playing, Sports on several screens and the place is very open and appealing when you walk in. So with all these great comments why am I only giving four out of five stars. It is the little things like each table has a roll of kitchen towel/paper to be used as napkins, the stand holding the kitchen towel on my table looked like it hadn't been wiped down in at least five or six days, it had sauce splashes and salt all over it. read more

Food was great However, it was a very timely process, not many people working out front, empty drinks, after an hour and a half of waiting we were told one of our food items ordered was "out", so we assume they were short handed in the back as well as it took that long for them to get to our ticket. Everyone was running like crazy but it didn't seemed super efficient. We have a restaurant and understand understaffed etc... and when we did get the food, it was amazing! I would recommend everything except for the Corn break and alcoholic beverages. Corn bread is harder than a hockey puck if you wait more than 10 minutes to eat it and the bartender does not know how to make any drink. I ordered a Long Island and it was horrible. Great service and food though. **Update: I would not recommend dining it to this place. The service has changed drastically. I went in on a Friday evening, expecting it to be busy (which it was). I knew that service would take a little longer because of how busy it was and I accepted that. I ordered prawns and my server thought it was crawfish. The crawfish that I didn't order came out 15 minutes after ordering. When I sent it back and told them that isn't what I ordered, it took another HOUR for me to get the right food! I finished my drink, and ate the sausage that I ordered before it came out. I ordered potatoes and I had to remind them of it AFTER I waited an hour for the prawns! That's not even the worst part. The people sitting on either side of us were seated after us and has more than two people with them. They got their food before me and I saw that one ordered the same thing as me! I honestly should've said never mind after 30 minutes but I was with a friend and wanted them to see how good the food was. Huge mistake. I still go here but I make sure to order ahead and NEVER dine in. I don't know the name of my serve but he was the only male server aside from the owner. And then when he gave me my receipt and card back, he only took $5 off and didn't even give me a pen to sign. I had to go to the bar for a to-go box and pen. read more

My wife and I frequent this weekly and live out of town. It is the only Seafood boil place that we have seen who's spicy (Killer) seasoning is actually spicy! The portions are more than enough for you to fill up on. The manager and staff are always attentive and friendly, even with covid restrictions. Amazing atmosphere and paintings, the seasonal specials and drinks are very festive! We have never had a problem with seating, never had an order wrong, gone too long without a refill, or ever had to wave someone down to get something we need. We've been from everywhere to Florida to Vegas and Louisiana and this is still my favorite place to eat! We always look forward to making a trip to eat here, regardless of the time of year! read more

My husband and I relocated here from Denver. Probably the most disappointing thing has been the food scene. Kraken is the exception. Great every time. Friendly service. Best crab legs in the area. We live in Fayetteville and happily make the drive to Springdale to treat ourselves here. Generous portions, we get the boils flavored with flavortown hot. Our son always gets catfish and it is always excellent. Can't say enough good things about this place. #1 in NWA and owners deserve every bit of your business! read more

Being from LA, I am a huge Boiling Crab fan. One of the places I must eat every time I go back. This place is a knockoff from that. Warning: if you know Boilling Crab, this place is good but not as good as Boiling Crab. Good for NWA though if you know what I mean. I got a pound of shrimp with sausage and corn in flavor town. The shrimp was overcooked so it was kind of challenging getting the shell off. After I peeled the shrimp, I dipped it back into their Flavortown sauce and ate it with rice. Their Flavortown was spicy, garlicy and peppery. I had a little bit of a sore throat the next day from all the pepper but so worth it! TIP: The waitress brought me the sauce in a cup to allow easier dipping. Ask for this. I also ordered fried oysters which were awesome, they came out a little bit too oily and didn't get a chance to dry off before putting on top of the fries. It kinda make the fries soggy in those spots but still good. I will come back! If you are from the Bentonville area, make a trip to the Roll-Up creamery since it's only down the street for dessert. read more

It wasn't awful but if I'm back in Arkansas for work I would not return. I had the blackened shrimp tacos and I side of gumbo. The shrimp seasoning was over salted and the slaw in the taco was over sauced. The tortillas were store bought (Maybe I am a bit of a taco snob because I am from Texas). Gumbo was watery and could have been better. The meal was not horrible I just don't want it again. The service was great and the restaurant was clean! read more

Service was slowwwwwww!! Wait staff were very friendly and kept our drinks full. The peel and eat shrimp were good but how can you mess up cold shrimp? Crab cakes came out cold after the 50 minute wait for any food! Had an odd taste to me. I left more than 3/4 of the crab cakes. The chips and dip were very salty as were the fried dill pickles. Not worth the price. The french fries were delicious but I would not come back here for an order of fries when I can drive through Slim Chickens! The bar area looked inviting with a few televisions. Me and my wife have been wanting to try this place for awhile now finally went in on Friday to be very dissapointed very poor service are shrimp was over cooked and very salty not sure if they were old or frozen but you could barely peel the shrimp also we order the street corn that arrived about 15 min after the food arrived for $3.95 I was expecting a full cob of corn but recieveda cobbett that was over cooked frozen cobbet that was like warm . We went here on a Sunday afternoon. They were understaffed, but the girls they had were doing their best. I had 2 lbs of crawfish. The seasoning was excellent, but I thought the crawfish could've been cooked better. We also had the creole seafood dip. It was good. It came served on a bread bowl. Nice seafood spot in Springdale! The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a kids menu, which comes in handy for a family like ours with two little ones. You can "build your own" boil; my husband had crawfish in the creole seasoning. It was just a bit spicy, so delicious! I had the firecracker shrimp, which was kind of dry, just had a small amount of sauce. They offer Ozark IPA, but they don't offer much more local beers than that. read more

My family of five has been almost weekly patrons of Kraken Killer since their move to Springdale. Unfortunately, tonight our loyalty was rewarded by being turned away despite there being empty booths in the dining area. They explained that the two large groups in the room had asked them to hold the empty tables for guests who had not yet arrived. When we pressed for an option, we were told we could sit at the bar (with three little girls ages 2, 4 and 9...is that even legal?). The food there is good...but there are other places in the area with good crawfish who hopefully value the repeat customers who pay the bills. read more

Waited over an hour for our food and they brought my fish and chips but not my husbands shrimp and corn. I ate while it was hot. 30 min later still hadn't brought my husbands food out. Waitress walked by many many times and never once asked us about our meals, why he didn't even get food or refill our drinks. Finally we got a different waitress to come to our table and she checked on his food. They had "thrown away" the ticket and didn't cook his food. They offered us a discount in return. The service was terrible. I was never asked for a drink refill, the appetizer came after our meal, we waited forever to get our check. This was our first time eating at this restaurant and we were excited because the menu online looked great and its near where we live. Killer seafood and then some more. Their crawfish, snow crab legs and shrimp was awesome. Great flavor and seasoning. Make sure to get their flavor town mix(hot/fire). We also had their fish tacos and Korean wings and they were awesome. They get busy on the weekends so make sure to get there early. Was super excited to try this place for the first time tonight. Menu looked awesome and placed our order for a fried crawfish tail basket. That's where the excitement ended. When the basket arrived, it was literally full of potato chips with a very small portion of crawfish on top- for $9.50 I expected at least 2 times more than what was in the basket- there were 13 total small crawfish tails on the basket of chips. We also ordered the cornbread which I will say was very good. Not sure if I just caught them on a bad night or if that is the quantity of food they serve. Was this a appetizer or a meal??? read more

Terrible food, don't waste your money! Had fish and chips and would have been better off going to Long John silvers. WaaaY overpriced.

This was a sad waste of time and money the catfish and fries was horrible!!!! The fish was extremely greasy which was bad because it was his first meal after surgery on his neck, fries tasted like they was dipped in hot oil and reheated. For a place that has such good reviews I was soooo disappointed. I would have been better off waiting until I got home to batesville to eat fish. read more
