I had two single beds in my room which was strange (for an American? Is this typical here?) Restaurant was good - especially the breakfast. That's a good thing because this hotel is on the edge of town and all the restaurants are at least a 15-20 minute walk or a taxi away.

The rooms are modern and well kept, very clean. The rooms are efficient, not luxurious, but did the job. The staff at the front desk was friendly and also efficient. I bought the breakfast option, and the breakfast was so-so......it had the basics: eggs to order, fruit, coffee bar, some bread and cheese, but the selection was very limited for the price which I believe was about 15E per day. There is a small bar adjacent to the restaurant. I would rather pay a bit more and be closer to some nightlife and sights.

i have a feeling the owner of this hotel took a trip to southeast asia and imported dozens of 40"…read morecontainers of decors to excessorize the hotel. i found a life size wooden elephant on my floor... rooms are clean but the bed was a bit on the flimsy side. blankets and pillows were lacking volume and comfort. complete breakfast buffet available with room stay. internet is available in room for a cost, but there are 2 unkempt public computers with internet available in the lobby for free use. not a fan of the decor but overall a clean hotel with great location, walking distance to the cologne cathedral and station. my accommodation was paid for by my company but for a regular single room stay will cost you around 140 € to 280 €/night.

Das Serviceteam ist auf alle unsere Wünsche bezüglich Aufbau, Catering, Technik etc. eingegangen und war sehr gut vorbereitet. Zu Beginn der Veranstaltung, hat sich Herr Osman persönlich vorgestellt und sich rückversichert, dass alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit ist. Neben der fantastischen Aussicht über Köln war das Essen ein besonderes Highlight im Osman 30. Wir haben die vielfältigen kulinarischen Optionen in dem einladenden Ambiente sehr genossen. Im Osmann gibt es ein qualitatives hochwertiges Angebot, sowohl für Vegetarier als auch für Fleischesser. Insgesamt ist das Osman 30 als Eventlocation und Restaurants sehr empfehlenswert. If no one knows what the cologne tower is, it's basically a tall sky scraper in the city of cologne and on the 30th floor is the restaurant with panoramic views over every angle of cologne and a direct view of the cologne Dom. There is an outside terrace where you can chill and take in the sights and the 30th floor is split into a restaurant, wine bar and lounge. The restaurant interior is very contemporary, really liked it. It was very bright, trendy and chic. You have huge windows over looking the city and very breath taking, taking in the night sky and lights. Food is ok, not breath taking but for the quality you get I think its expensive, I found the food very bland with really no taste and waiting for the main course takes its time, a bit too long really and service does lack. When ordering your food they don't really write down how you want you meat cooked. If your use to high quality then you will be disappointed. But the restaurant is not really known for its food but more for the views. It is something different but well worth the visit, a cheaper alternative would be to have a cocktail / drink on the terrace and enjoy the views.

The fact is though, that the Best Western Hotel is kind of out of the way. Parking is 15 Euros in the garage or for free if u are lucky to get one of 7 outside spaces. Employees are not the most professional, at check-in one asked 3x if the booking was for one night, which had already been stated at booking time and when greeting. Another later just stared. The pros greet or are busy. Well, it's the periphery of the city, and it was a special price. I usually like Best Western, but this is the worst Best Western so far.
