My husband and I were married May 25, 2024. Our contract included 8 hours of coverage, drone views, 8min highlight, raw footage, and ceremony audio, vows, and speeches. Initially, Jeff (the owner) was very nice, and even cried during special moments. We were excited to see our video.
Issue 1: Per contract we were to receive our video in 6-8 weeks. So by August when we hadn't received our video we asked what was the delay. There was excuse after excuse. Ultimately, after repeated emails we received our highlight video in October, and no drone footage was captured. We noticed that the video repeated a lot of the same events with none of the major reception events. When we asked why he told us that a highlight video could only fit so much and that it would be in the raw footage.
Issue 2: Again, after repeated attempts to get the rest of our videos, December by this time, he finally sent the raw footage but again no ceremony audio. But no events after the first dances were captured. So no cake cutting bouquet toss, garter toss, best man or maid of honor speeches. Nothing. When asked why he said because his memory card was full and he was not prepared. Then later changed his story to the memory card was corrupted. By the end of this conversation we asked for a full refund. He agreed to this and said we would be refunded in 45 days and he would still send us our ceremony audio. The deadline would have been February 23, 2025.
Issue 3: We reached out again around the 45 day mark, and about weekly until the end of March to receive our refund, due to only receiving $670 out of the $1800 that was owed. Yet again, when he finally answered, we were met with more excuses. Ultimately, we had to take him to Small Claims Court. The judge asked why all these events occurred and he openly admitted to not being prepared and accepting more weddings than he could handle. We won our judgment. To this day, almost at our 1 year anniversary, we have not received our full refund nor ceremony audio!
