The staff are all clean cut, buzzy and friendly with the American inspired 'have a nice day' attitude. They weren't bad, but they weren't very meaty and just didn't impress me. Wings are the kind of the thing that I don't see much point in having on the menu if they're not going to be really good. The cheeseburger was really tasty. By no means the best burger I've had but I can't complain about it really. The brisket was very tender and a huge portion. The donuts were actually very unpleasant. The dough itself was dry and tasteless and the bourbon custard was not good at all. Cocktails were nice and in my opinion quite reasonably priced. My favourite was the Turkish Delight and my sister really likes the East Coast Iced Tea. I wouldn't rush back here.

First time I came, service was very in your face, but the food was excellent. Brilliantly creamy and buttery chowder, wonderfully balanced sandwiches, and delicious beer. Based on this, it would be 5 stars. Second time I came was 1 star at best. Had wings starter, which had very slimy skin and wasn't trimmed, so it had the wing tip and feathers on. Ordered a turkey sandwich and chowder, were awful. Chowder recipe was changed into something I wouldn't feed to my dog - didn't finish it. And the turkey sandwich had a 15mm thick wedge of cheese in which rendered it pretty difficult to swallow or enjoy. Third time I had a pastrami sandwich and coffee and it was nice - didn't want to risk spending too much. Fourth time, I was treated to a meal, opted for a steak, which the waitress told me "comes medium" which would have been fine had they cooked it to medium. It was charred on the outside and raw inside - so logically it was somewhere between burnt and raw, but not in an ideal way. For 15 pounds and change for a steak and a cup of chips, you'd hope they'd at least learn to cook it first. Better restaurants within spitting distance of anchorage - enter at your own risk!!

It is a Carolina style sweet & sour, but it wasn't quite sweet & sour enough. I applied some NC vinegar based bbq sauce, which improved it a lot. The staff was efficient and very pleasant, and provided great information about the food and restaurant. I'd come back, and will state for the record that this is true American style Smoked BBQ.

Love the atmosphere. Love the pastries…read more Love the coffee. Love the vibe. Two Gingers Cafe is a little gem in Hull. While in Hull for work, I was in search for delicious coffee that was not by a chain and this place was a pleasant surprise. Tucked away in the arcade, the small cafe serves delicious, well-roasted coffee with both cows milk and my favorite, oat milk! They also offer pastries from a nearby bakery. Usually different each day and your choice of regular/vegetarian and a vegan option. I tried two vegan pastries and both were delicious. If I have the opportunity to venture back to Hull, this place is definitely one of my first stops.

You never feel ad though you're being rushed to drink and get out, borrow one of the papers by the door and relax. Free wifi also available. On one occasion they did seem to close a fair bit (40 minutes) earlier than they were due to so if you're going late it might be worth double checking before you travel. But on the whole we really like going there.

The decor is a little off and crumbs all over sticky leather sofas isn't exactly cosy. One day me and the Hubby got desperate as our usual "go to" coffee place was closed. We tried the hot chocolate and a flat white both of which were OK. The staff forgot my cream on the hot chocolate and later came out with an espresso full of ample cream to add on to my cup ( a nice apology gesture I thought). The staff were friendly and despite being a busy place frequented by locals and university crowds - service was actually pretty speedy and smooth.
