I was told that my front brakes needed pads and rotors and that the rears should be good until early spring based on the age and mileage of the vehicle. The waiting area was clean with comfortable chairs. The garage was busy and seemed to be well organized. The bill was reasonable and I will get the rear brakes done here.

(I work with older individuals during this time of COVID, so this made me feel more safe.) They know I am not from the area, so the status of my front brakes and lug nut was typed out on my receipt, so I could feel free to go to a mechanic closer to my house. The customer before me was smiling and joking with the staff, so this must be how well they do business all the time.

After explaining the sounds and symptoms I was assured that the problem was not the transmission and that it only needed some new spark plugs and that my engine light was on because of a leaky gas cap, that's it! After they diagnosed the quote came in the rebuilt by 2011 Jeep Wrangler transmission for over $4500. This was way above the industry standard for a rebuild which is no more than $3000. They would not provide me with a breakdown of the parts they needed to replace but verbally told me it was just the gears. Kyle told me he didn't have the time to write down all the parts. After I decided to go with someone else. They put all my transmission parts outside on their drive way for me to pick up. Attached are pictures of my parts left outside.This is not how you do business! I have since filed a complaint with the consumer protection act. I ended up going to triple A transmission in Newmarket and they ended up charging me $2700 flat.

Considering the cost though, I also think I'm fortunate to have had Glen working on my car, and not a shop that would have charged me twice what he did in labour. From the get go, everything he did was right out in the open. He tested a number of items on my A/C system with me standing right there, and explained what he was doing, and what the results meant. When it turned out to be the compressor, he gave me a cost, booked me in for the next day, and he stuck to both the timing and the cost for the job. This is a small shop, and from what I could see by my visit, just one man doing the work on vehicles, and his wife answering phones. Don't expect a waiting room, magazines to read, and a tv to watch. What you can expect though, is a mechanic who knows his stuff; who will gladly chat with you and work at the same time, and seems to be about as honest and transparent as you can get. I'll definitely be recommending this place to my family and friends

I`ve been taking my cars here for regular servicing for many years and have never had reason to…read morecomplain. Service advisors are friendly and repairs are accurate and without problem. In the past, I commuted a fair distance on a daily basis and I needed to feel assured that my car wouldn`t break down in the middle of a dark lonely road after my night shift had ended. They have good hours too for busy working people with their service bays open early and fairly late into the evening. They`ve always managed to fit my car in and once when I had a question about a check engine light (that I began to panic about) one of the mechanics took the time to talk to me over the phone.

I had taken my daughters car in for air conditioning repairs. It was indicated by Midas Kesick the…read morecompressor was broken and needed to be replaced. Midas replaced, vehicle picked up. Approx. 2 weeks later a/c not working again. brought the car back in, they indicated a valve has leaking and they replaced . after another 2weeks a/c not working again. Brought the car to an air conditioning repair shop, they recharged the system, said bring back in two days. Brought the car back and with a infrared flash light found a faulty Shrader valve. He mentioned the compressor probably didn't have to be replaced and the cooling gas which was used was reclaimed gas, not new probably from the auto wreckers, there was no dye for detetection. The owner Mr K of Midas is an unethical shop operator and as I learned had had numerous complaints against him for non performance

Not only did Midas Keswick charge me $400 to repair an exhaust manifold that they already repaired…read more6 months ago and failed because of their incompetence installing it. They then refused to give me my keys back because I wouldn't sign the bill/release form even though I paid the bill. They can't legally do this as it's my property , so had to get the cops involved. Also wouldn't admit to any fault in their work, just happened by coincidence they said.
