Just in case you were wondering, 8 years later this place is still a mess, worse actually. I gave it another try because I needed my nails done for an event, but seriously don't bother unless you want poor quality work and a likely fungus infection-I would NEVER get a pedicure here, they do not follow proper sanitation protocols at all. The scheduling is a nightmare, don't bother with an appointment, it makes no difference, you will still be there for hours-for my dip I was there for 3.5 hours and there were 2 other people there. If you can't handle the work load, don't book the appointment then! I would pick literally anywhere else in Manhattan. Element nails lounge is infinitely better. They actually clean things there. 0/10, don't go here. My only explanation for the positive reviews is that they haven't had a quality service before, because this is honestly the worst of the worst. Check my reviews guys, I usually only leave positive reviews, and I've gone out of my way to review this place TWICE! Seriously it's that bad. I'm shocked they are still open. read more

My only complaint is I had to wait for a while bc they only had one nail technician, even though I had an appointment. But she did a really good job. I think I may go back just bc it's hard to find a good nail salon in a state where you're not from. read more

I have no idea why this place has bad reviews. During Covid season me and my husband made an appointment (they are doing appointment only) for pedicures. We waiting about 10min and they attended up perfectly. Honestly probably the best pedicure I've gotten I did regular polish and it looks like gel. She massaged my legs for a LONG time and it was amazing. My husband has several ingrown toe nails and they took their time getting them all out and cleaning his feet up! He said it was the best experience he's ever had!! Also the are VERY clean. Completely sanitize the entire area before and after. I've literally never seen a salon this clean in my life. I've never gotten my nails done here but for toes a definite win of all time! read more

Honestly shocked that this place has such a low review because it is my favorite nail salon in Manhattan. I have been on multiple occasions and with my appointment I have never had to wait. They soak your hands in lotion and a hand heater while you are getting your pedicure done and it feels amazing. My manicures always look impeccable and they offer great prices. I love K's nails! DO NOT GO HERE. I made an appointment yesterday saying I wanted a Dip with tips, and I wanted an accent nail to be marble. They said they could do that so I went in today. I reminded them again when I walked in what I wanted (including the marble design) and they said that was okay. In the middle of getting my nails done, I noticed that my nail lady wasn't doing the marble and I told her and her response was "oh I can't do the marble, sorry I didn't know you wanted that." I was SO FRUSTRATED so I just told her to do them all the same color. They turned out AWFUL anyway, the nail surfaces are uneven and look bumpy, the shape in general is terrible. She was also rushing the whole time because another woman had walked in (she had an appointment as well) a few minutes after me and was waiting the whole time (about 45 min) for my nails to be done because my nail tech had to do her after. Not sure if that was a scheduling error or what; but she was definitely rushing and it shows. My nails were done SO horribly that there is still glue ALL over my fingers. In the past, I loved having a pedicure done at K's. Now I only go sporadically, because there is always some type of issue. Either the quality of the work does not look professional or the long wait time with an appointment. I can look pass those things, because the best nail shops have those issues. What I cannot look pass is a nail tech acting childish and unprofessional. Kim does a great job but her daughter does not. She can only do the most basic pedicure and that's a struggle for her. On my most recent visit, I had to tell her to file my toenails evenly. When she was cleaning under my toenail, she was wiping it across my foot. When I asked her to stop, she just laughed. She commented it was just dirt. When I asked her to stop for the third time. She started crying big crocodile tears. She finished my pedicure with a little coaxing. All I wanted was a relaxing pedicure and for my toes to look pretty. Instead, I got an unprofessional crying teen that I tipped $5. I will not use K's again nor would I recommend the shop. read more

Got my nails done on August 24th. now one and a half weeks later two acrylic nails already just fell off and one broke. The quality is to low for this price. I payed 20 euro in germany before (so half the price) and the nails always were better, looked nicer and never broke I'M SO DISAPPOINTED OF THIS PLACE 45 dollar is way too much for shitty nails like this. This is one of the best salons. I believe the negative reviews here aren't accurate and may be just embellished. Kim and her daughter are wonderful and so friendly. They have great prices and I've never been treated as you do at the typical mall nail salon. I've made an appt and walked in and been told that I'd have to wait and I'm ok with that. If they will take the time to work me in then I'm thankful for the courtesy. I highly recommend this salon!! read more

This place is ok they did a good job but me and my friend made an apt @ 5:30 they didn't start our nails till 6:45 and we didn't get out of there till 8 ... my nails got really messed up after an hour and my friends broke in half I called to get repainted or to get gel and they are charging 20 for gel polish which I feel is a lot since I didn't get enough time for my nails to dry and I waited for a long time read more

I looked all over Manhattan for a great nail place and I found it! Tonight I got a full acrylic set with gel polish and a pedicure for a wedding I'm going to be in - so it was really important to me that they look nice. The ladies were very friendly and helpful and I didn't have to wait with my appointment (I called over lunch and they got me in at 5). I didn't feel rushed at all and most importantly, my nails look fabulous! I will definitely be back! read more

Went here twice unsatisfied, so my wife told me I should give them another shot and get a pedicure again, (since they did do a good job with ingrowns) and I was hurting. KIT, (MALE) is very good on pedicure, his wife likes to whisper and make up prices, 40 pedicure shellac! They don't own it so where are the owners? Please stick to prices. K's Nails overbooks and it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes for a shellac manicure and a pedicure with a 3 pm appointment. I like their work but the time it takes to get it done is not right. They don't say no to anyone coming through the door as a walk-in or appointment. Two workers cannot service 5 or 6 people at the same time. read more

Decent nail salon, clean, friendly. Kim does a good job and is quick - if you want to see her you should make an appt. The older lady is very friendly and sweet, she is a bit slower but does a good job. All in all this is your run of the mill nail salon and they do a decent to good job, but nothing to write home about. read more
