KSDS, Inc. ( formerly known as Kansas Specialty Dog Service) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit that breeds, trains, and places assistance dogs for persons with disabilities and visual impairments. KSDS, Inc. and Kansas Specialty Dog Service are one and the same and are registered with the Secretary of State's office of State of Kansas. KSDS mission is to promote independence and inclusion of people with disabilities as fully participating and contributing members of their community and society. KSDS also places facility dogs for placement with a professional such as teachers, social workers, doctors, etc. KSDS is located in Washington, Kansas, has been in existence since 1990, and has placed over 500 assistance dog teams.
