I've heard a lot of music I love. It might not be for every demographic, but it's sure for mine. Within a one hour period today, I heard Marvin Gaye, Squeeze, Led Zeppelin, The Specials and Bruce Springsteen. It's all kinds of different stuff, but only great music. I'm sold. How I miss those days, but love the mix of classic rock from Eagles to R.E.O. Speedwagon to pop hits like Alanis Moreset & others; just a broad mix of hit s from all types of music for every age group. I miss hearing local DJs & feel it is unfortunate they are using third party programing despite being a small market radio station. But, they are good & I will take what I can get. I can remember the old days when KSLY was on the AM dial ( 1400 AM) they had the best music in the…read more1950's thru the early 1990's when they took over KUNA 96 FM stereo their sister station which played elevator music back then and KSLY went stereo and was then known as sly 96 fm, then in the early 2000's they went country which was the end of KSLY as we knew and grew up with in the 1950's and 1960's. So sad to see the end of a great radio station in San Luis Obispo,Ca. We had to other am stations on the dial back then and they were KATY am and KVEC am. KVEC is still on the air as a 24 hour talk radio format.
