Anderson Mercantile (AM) is such a cute little shop! I had heard about this shop on my neighborhood…read morepage awhile back, but haven't had a chance to check it out until today. The owner organized a market with local makers, artists, photographer who was doing a free portrait for mommas and Bowtie BBQ food truck for Mother's Day, so I decided to check it out. It's located in the building next to Waystation Coffee Co. - Parking - Very limited. - Service - The owner was on site and she was super nice. I commented on how I loved the variety and selection of items she carried and her response was pretty funny. "Yeah, a little bit of everything and I'm a little all over the place...so is my store" Haha, I LOVE it! - The Goods - She really does carry a little bit of everything. She clearly love plants and has a sense of humor. There are tons of little plants for sale, both inside and out, and accessories to go with it. She carries a lot of local makers and artists in the shop, as well as lots of women's clothing, shoes and accessories. The t-shirts are fun (see pics). She has some kitschy and fun knick knacks too. There are food items, beauty products and house items. Like I said, a little bit of everything! I ended up purchasing a pair of laser cut, wood earrings by Richmond Hill Candle Co. at AM. When I went outside, Richmond Hill Candle Co. happened to be one of the vendors at the market, and they also had some more earrings in the shape of a lotus in stock so I treated myself to another pair! Everything is reasonably priced. This is a great store to find a unique gift for just about anyone. There is another little room in the back with mostly clothing and other knick knacks, so don't miss it. It's a pretty small store, but full of things to see and explore. Go on in and take a look! Stay safe, Friends!

In all 25 years of living, I have never encountered such rude and INVASIVE customer service. My…read moresister expressed visually and verbally several times that she was uncomfortable with the red-haired associate pulling her fitting room door open for the entire store full of women, men and children to see her changing. This happened while she was trying on a few see-through items SEVERAL TIMES. I also witnessed this SAME associate yell at a younger teenage girl for asking her mother to help her with a formal dress. This resulted in the child CRYING in the fitting room while her mother had to console her through the door because she wasn't "allowed to show or let her mother in because [she] needs to show an associate instead." Teenagers *are* children and need adult supervision. Especially in a store like Windsor where the clothes are not always geared toward teenagers. When my sister went to leave after deciding she would not purchase the dress she really loved because of that associate's behavior, the associate proceeded to yell "Sweetie, you need to take those dresses out the room." to my sister, whom is in fact a customer, not a paid employee who is scheduled to do such duties. Not only was that redhaired associate at the register ringing out another customer who was confused and second-hand embarrassed for her by the shocked and befuddled expression on his face, but the store was a MESS with different items placed on a various racks because she kept telling customers to put them up by themselves--even the store associates had a hard time finding the proper places for their go backs! My sister did not appreciate the tone nor the pet name. I lingered behind to tell another associate, perhaps one of her part-timers that her manager was being nasty to my sister and making my sister uncomfortable. That associate delivered the most insincere "I'm so sorry about that." with the most bored countenance I've ever witnessed. However, I noticed the only customers this redhaired associate did not bother to speak to was a young couple who were male-female. We believe it was because the woman was with a man because I witnessed several other accounts of her speaking down to several other shoppers who were female and alone. Unfortunately in the ten or fifteen minutes we were in Windsor this afternoon while that woman was around about two-thirds of customers left before making a purchase. From other reviews, I can tell that when this lady is working does not care that she makes everyone supremely uncomfortable and does read their body language, facial expressions, or verbal tone either. And from what I can tell from the negative reviews, Windsor doesn't care to reprimand this associate. What happened to your associate standards? Are they no longer included in the handbook, and does Windsor genuinely not have mandatory reups for associates on expectations? Unfortunately, my sister and I, fans of Windsor since we were teens, will no longer be returning to Windsor. As someone who shops in person often, works retail and runs a fitting room at my own store, I can tell you not only was that improper fitting room etiquette for ANY store but it was generally improper sales associate behavior.

You still walk in and pick your "bear" from the wall on your right. You stuff your bear by pushing the foot level if you want and can add a little heart inside. The girl working the stuffing machine was very nice. You then fluff your bear with air and then pick out clothes. There are a lot more accessories and popular brands than in the past. And the prices were still very reasonable. You do t get a free cardboard box to carry your bear. You can pay $3 for one. The girl at checkout was so rude. She told us not to get birth certificates if we come back. She fought me on keeping the hangers and was just weird about everything. She also over shared. Other than that it was great. .

It is a clever concept and my kids have completely fallen for it. The birthday party was very well done. The girl who led the party was superb and so great with kids. The kids are greeted and given name tags and then they are shown the options of "bears" that they can have. For the parties, it's the basic bear or bunny, but they are still cute and cuddly and well-made. I mean, our host was gracious enough to pay for it, so no complaints here. My child loved it, of course. After the kids made their choices, they were all given the empty "bear" of choice (kinda creepy IMO, they are so limp), but it didn't seem to bother any of the kids. They all gathered around the stuffing machine and were each given a heart that they rubbed and kissed to insert inside their bear (so cute!). Then the stuffing began where the kids got to step on the pedal that stuffs their bear while the employee held the bear into place. Once they confirmed their desired level of cuddliness, the kids were allowed to choose one outfit for their bear. Goodness, it was almost like watching one of those food shows where they let the contestants loose in a grocery store and they have x amount of time to grab what they can. The poor kids had a tough time deciding but in the end, everyone seemed to be happy with their choices! We had to return a second time after the birthday party as my youngest was sad that she didn't get one and wanted a bear like her sister. Thank goodness it was National Hug Day that day and they were having a sale on the basic bear for $5. But don't you worry, we still walked out of there and dropped $30 on one bear and accessories. These bears aren't cheap, but they sure do make my kids happy. My kids drag them around the house everywhere they go! We went back last week because their daddy gave them gift cards for V-day. Every single one of our visits were all pleasant. The girls working there are so helpful and check on you often to make sure you find what you are looking for. There are so many bears and characters to choose from (Star Wars characters, unicorn, rainbow, etc) and every accessory imaginable for these furry friends. These make great gifts and if you're willing to drop some cash, a great activity for a child to experience the building of a bear from start to finish!

After being out in the yard for about two hours and 96° heat, I really wanted a red Powerade. So I put my card up to it and ordered the Powerade it approved. My card went through. Nothing came out the machine. As to not frazzle the already frantic old lady that runs the place I simply asked for change from my $20. Mind you this place collects three dollars per person for every entry into the yard. Not only was I told to just have the water that was free, but I was met with eyes rolling and sighs From what seems to be the new GM!(old Latin woman with a piss poor attitude!! ) So much so that I felt the need to just leave and say screw the Powerade and my money already spent in the machine as this was causing her undue stress that I didn't need to invoke on a senior citizen on what is only the second day of the work week. These people make it really hard to shop local and not go over to LKQ where they give you service with a smile and help you with the Powerade's in the machine. Let us not forget that you aren't paying us to take your old used parts, we're paying you to take your old used car parts that we take off the cars and pay an outrageous premium for so stop being so mean and hateful to your customers and maybe appreciate them Instead of making them feel so uncomfortable that they say screw their money and leave.
