Their lunchtime specials are fantastic!! I got a whole hibachi meal with veggies, chicken, rice and a salad for $16 (extra for fried rice). You can't beat it. It was nearly full but the wood decor dampened it beautifully (aesthetically and audibly). The miso soup was traditional and delicious. The chicken hibachi was flavorful and generously portioned. The veggies (broccoli, carrot, mushrooms, zucchini and onions) were cooked to perfection tender with a little firmness. The chicken was at times dry and overcooked. I could've ordered all veggies and been perfectly happy. There was a lot of rice. A lot. I'll be bringing home leftovers! Overall, I enjoyed Kumo. He said that it had more rice vs sushi. He would order something else next time. That was disappointing to him. I ordered the vegetable habachi and added tofu. It was absolutely delicious and I will order from the again! What an amazing experience. My wife is the Ramen expert and she is the pickiest person I know when it comes to Ramen. This is now her favorite Ramen place and I gotta say this dish was so tasty. We got the Tonkotsu Ramen with pork. So tasty. Sometimes you get it and the soup is watery- not so here it was full of flavor- we got it medium spicy- what a treat. They have 100A rating and the staff was so friendly- you must check this out if you are north of the perimeter you may never go back! They also have a Sushi Bar and I'm going to try that next. One of my favorite ramen places when I visit family! The restaurant is homey on the inside and all the waiters and waitresses are kind and have great suggestions. The food is so delicious and accommodating to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. There are abundant options for various diets and every single appetizer I've tried so far is a huge hit (especially the chicken yakitori)! I always get the chicken ramen, and I'm a big stickler for smell since I always notice a certain aroma with chicken ramen that I dislike, but the lack of that smell was a real attribute for using fresh materials and cooking everything thoroughly. The vegetable ramen is also delicious, and they did not hold back on ingredients for vegetable ramen like most other places too. It was just as filling as the rest of the dishes, which I appreciated. Finally, Kumo's desserts are to die for, especially the Japanese ice cream waffles! My brother and I have such a fun time with the different flavors. The strawberry is not overwhelmingly sweet and the flavor really comes through, and the green tea is not super sweet but compliments the waffle really well. And in terms of price, this place is SUPER affordable and very cheap prices for high quality food. This is definitely a go-to restaurant every time I come home, and I highly recommend it! read more

The service here was excellent! This was the only place I found open on the evening of 4th of July. The reviews were great so I decided to give them a try. I was nervous that it would be really crowded and service would take a hit due to that, but I was promptly greeted and assisted once I arrived. I got the shrimp hibachi with fried rice. It was cooked fresh and came out quickly. I'll be honest though, I don't get the hype. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? But I was definitely underwhelmed. I'd like to return and try something different just to see if I feel any different. The great service encourages me to come back and try again. However today was just a super stormy, rainy day and I felt for ramen so I gave it a shot. I've never tried Kumo and was pleasantly surprised with the variety in their menu. I ordered the veggie ramen with an added seasoned egg and it was absolutely phenomenal. I am also a big fan of their bamboo shoots. I've never had such tasty bamboo shots, I'm genuinely curious to how they infused it with such an intense flavor. The base was delicious, noodles were the perfect consistency, amazing flavors and textures. Just overall really good veggie ramen. Already thinking about my next bowl haha! P.S. We came here on a Sunday at 6pm right before the Dinner rush and it was a great choice. I found this restaurant on Yelp and thoroughly enjoyed it! We got seated right away in a booth. There was plenty of free parking as well. I ordered the Double Shrimp Roll which was delicious! My family ordered the Chicken Hibachi which came with a soup or salad before the meal. The soup was a clear soup with mushrooms and onion strings. The salad was a regular house salad with creamy ginger dressing. The hibachi entrees also come with grilled veggies and white rice. If you want fried rice, it's an additional $2 charge. The restaurant itself was decorated very nicely! We noticed how clean and tidy they kept it. Local Ramen/Sushi place just opened up so I definitely had to try it. Parking lot is big and basically behind Race Trac. It's located in strip mall with a ton other food spots. Inside decor was pleasantly nice and surprisingly. A lot nicer than I thought it would be. I started out with the Calamari Appetizer which was a very small portion. So don't expect it to feed 4 people. Maybe 2. It was crunchy and delicious and came with sweet/sour dipping sauce. I got the Khumo House special Ramen (Pork broth, black garlic oil, chashu pork, corn, seasoned egg, fish cake, and scallions. My date got the Seafood Ramen (Squid, shrimp, scallops, imitation crab meat, and egg.) I also wanted to try some sushi here. I went with the k20 Tropical sushi rolls (it comes with 8 pieces and includes Shrimp tempura, asparagus tempura, cream Salmon, tuna, eel, avocado, crispy crab, tobiko). The sushi was very tasty. The Ramen was not bad, typical Ramen. Price is definitely on the high side and the portions are average. It's definitely nice to have more Asian places in this area. I definitely recommend you come here if your in the area and want some Ramen/Sushi food. I am unsure if I will be back as I did not taste anything out of the ordinary vs the other sushi/ramen spots. I enjoyed their lunch combo which was only $22 for a very generously portioned LARGE ramen bowl of your choice, with a side of your choice, and a drink. I chose the Spicy Miso Ramen which I enjoyed but felt the broth was a tad bit bland and could use a little more flavor. My side was a spicy tuna roll which came with 5 pieces. My friends had a Spicy Chicken Ramen and a Spicy Seafood Ramen and felt their broth was also lacking flavor. Overall, a good experience I just wish the broth was a little more flavorful. read more

I am literally such a fan. I've been here multiple times and even got Uber eats. I came here on a whim with a friend after working close by, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of sushi here. I also love their spicy mayo. Delish! We each got a glass of wine, try the spring rolls, and a couple sushi rolls. My favorite is the fantasy which is weird because I don't usually like cream cheese in my sushi rolls but this one is exceptional. I came again with my boyfriend and he really likes their steak hibachi. I tried the veggies and rice and it was super good. Also their yum yum sauce is so amazing. They got their condiments on point. So if you are in the area, you need to try this place. Only thing I didn't love was their Boba, which was watery and not that good. Otherwise this place really rocked! I was excited to find a new sushi place when I had a real estate closing in the area. Grabbed a seat at the sushi bar and received service quickly. Sweet tea is very sweet, which I love. They have a variety of specialty rolls, but many had spicy tuna and I'm just not a fan of that. I went with more basic rolls, like the spicy salmon roll and Alaskan roll. (Salmon is my FAVORITE.) Waitress even pointed out to me that their lunch special with 2 rolls is cheaper and it comes with soup or salad. The honesty in that speaks volumes. Sushi chef was wonderful, too. Made me a complimentary seafood salad and that was really tasty. He's fast too. Didn't take long to get any of the items I ordered.
