I have never been to a boba tea shop before visiting. As my first experience I found it to be delightful! Now, the menu is overwhelming with so many options and add ons. As a first timer I didn't know where to start, but the staff there was extremely helpful. I mentioned that I am a match latte tea girl and she compared theirs to two popular spots to measure what type of sweetness I tend to go for. From there she then suggested a matcha tea for me! This place is super cuuuuute!!!! What a cute teahouse. There are a ton of teas. However, I was in a Milk Tea type of mood. I got the Matcha Milk Tea. It was good. The gummy tapioca was also pretty good. It tasted like it was soaked in sugar or some sweet syrup. It is definitely better than other tea houses. One thing I didnt find, but was looking for was a Rose Milk Tea... I guess I was looking for the ability to customize any teas... maybe somewhere else. The Matcha Milk Tea was a little sweet (which is subjective to anyone you ask), but I think you can tell them to make it less sweet. I saw ladies sipping tea and playing card games. A great place to get boba drinks! This is by far my favorite place to get boba. The boba is made to perfection, just soft but not too soft and chewy and coated well with honey. You can just tell the boba is kept warm and I love it about this place because not many do that. It makes a California girl very happy that they have high quality milk tea in an all American state! :) With that said, I have fairly high standards for my milk tea. I came in here on a Friday afternoon ~4pm to find the store empty. I ordered oolong milk tea (25% sweet and half ice - you can do that so you don't feel as guilty!), with grass jelly. I was very surprised to find that they have grass jelly, and a wide selection of other toppings. My drink was VERY QUICKLY prepared, and handed to me all in less than 3 minutes. Woohoo! I was slightly thrown off by the texture of the grass jelly - it definitely could use a little more mixing so it comes in smaller chunks, I could tell it came straight from a can. Otherwise, I am very happy that my drink was not too sweet, it was just as I had wanted it, 25% sweetness. The oolong tea I also cannot complain about. I am very content with my drink!! Although I was only stopping by to get a drink just so I can get back on the road, this place is definitely good for hanging out. Like I said it had taken a while to receive our drinks & they had forgotten one of the other girls drinks, so I had time to observe. I think this place has great potential but needs time to grow & work out the kinks. It seems everyone was trying to do whatever they thought needed to be done. You need strictly a cashier, if someone working on a drink... Make it clear you are working on that drink. It also seems like the girls had to constantly wash the appliances. Maybe it's busy for now, but we don't have many places like this in this part of town. If it continues like this definitely more space will be needed to continue serving the amount of customers you get at all times. They were doing their best but several times almost or they did run into each other. The service was great though. They were all nice. The place was clean. I also did not see any pastries. I've also called ahead to see if they take apple pay, and they said yes. But once I got there, they didn't even know what I was talking about and acted like I was crazy. But on some days they will take it. What? They are also very unprofessional. Kissing while on the job? Save it for after work.....? The drinks here are also very inconsistent. I've worked at a boba tea shop like this before and I can assure you, a brand name place like this HAS DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS on how to make the drinks. Please don't skimp out on tea because I seem like I have a sweet tooth, please don't act like you memorized the recipe just because you are backed up. Today I ordered an oolong tea cap and the sea cream tasted and looked like spray can cheese. Also, they are always out of boba. Kudos to them for having it tonight at 11:30. This place also offers wings upon calling and other various sweets in their refrigerators, however, this is a Kung Fu Tea. Please keep your drinks a specialty and make them with the best ingredients possible. There are way too many competitors out there that will run you dry pretty soon. I get my fix here because it's less than 5 minutes away from my house but it doesn't keep me satisfied. REGARDING THE "MANAGER"/OWNER MESSAGE: The apple pay incident happened on TWO instances! The first time, was weeks ago and that is when the workers gave me looks and made comments. YESTERDAY was the day that it worked on my s/o's card, however, it is not the fact that it did go through or not, it is the fact how the workers were not informed or not of they even took it in the first place. Second, the drink orders were both all low quality, you can redo my drinks over and over, but it is not just me who say this location is lacking compared to the Carrolton, Denton, Plano location. The tea cap is NOT supposed to look like that, regarding my photo. There are multiple photos in the gallery that proves so. Quan, you didn't even give me my drinks... you were making the boba. The girl workers took my order, and gave me my drinks. She actually double printed my drink order and got it wrong and that is why I got to keep my first drink. Oh my... Such a mess with KFT lately haha. I'm writing this review unbiased because it's my policy to be completely honest and stand my ground on my own opinions (believe me, I've declined monetary bribes on Yelp before). Also because I'm "Elite" and wanted to leave my own input, as I know that some people would be wary of inactive users posting low star reviews since they might have a personal vendetta against the company. Not saying by any means that my opinion is better than anyone else's, but just trying to make the pool of opinions more credible and not just a bunch of users teaming up to bash on a business. Because they're right. The service IS sub-par. Honestly, I've never really had a problem with my drink orders but that's because my requests are super simple and basic. From my understanding, customized or complicated orders will be messed up but I tend to just order a black or Jasmine milk tea with no boba so I've never had issues with them running out of boba (since I don't want them anyways) or messing up my drink order because it's literally sososo basic, you'd have to be an idiot to make it wrong lol. It gets a 3 star from me. But whenever I come here, I don't like the customer service. They're a mood killer every single time, so minus one star for that. I also don't think it's right for the owner to get so angry and defensive at his unsatisfied customers and needlessly threaten to sue them for using their freedom of speech on Yelp. Yes, I'm friends with the girl he blackmailed, but I'm not siding with her because she's my friend-- I'm taking the side of whoever I think is CORRECT in my eyes. Since she is my friend, it is my job to let her know if she is wrong. In which case, she is not. She is entitled to her own opinions, as am I, in writing this review based on my personal experiences. I didn't give KFT a low star review because of anyone else but my own self from what I have learned from my previous visits to this particular location. I do love KFT very much, but honestly speaking, other locations are more well rounded and at a higher level compared to this Grand Prairie location. I'll admit, its decor is very nice. However, they should seek for more improvements as to satisfy the requests of a big majority of their customers. So I like their teas and specification options and smoothie choices. Boba is good. Chewy and slightly sweet - it stops there. I live near Carrollton and frequent that location more often. I come here if I'm visiting family. And they would NOT stamp my frequent visitor card! They said each location has their own cards. Even though.... they are the same chain company!!! That's ridiculous! Even if it is owned by diff people. It's still a franchise and under the same umbrella company. Multiple chain companies have diff owners but they still have interchangeable systems, gift cards/rewards system. Also, they only give you a stamp for large drinks. So even though I'm trying to watch my calories, I won't get nothing for getting 10 medium drinks. Ugh. There needs to be more Magic Cup instead who actually have a decent frequent visitor rewards. Plus their system is by phone number. So I don't have to carry multiple stamps cards around. I think I'll prob just keep to the Carrollton location instead of here. There is also a $6 minimum to use credit card. I was lucky to have cash on me or this would have been a wasted stop. They serve wings here. I don't know if other locations serve food. I have not tried it yet to rate it though. Even though I like the drinks. I don't like what this company is doing as a whole. Bought the peach oolong tea with boba and I didn't know it contained little pieces of peach, soooo good! I had a lot of of boba and pieces of peach in my drink which I was really happy about! Drink wasn't too sweet, personally I thought it was perfect, and the texture of the boba was just right, unlike other places where it basically it's either too hard or dissolves in your mouth.
