So I will say this place is pretty busy. We waited about 20 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our boba ! Which isn't that bad because they do have entertaining things inside this boba shop! The workers were nice. They had some card games and board games and manga and stuff to look at . I had a boba craving that kicked in immediately after having dinner at one of the nearby restaurants and Kung Fu Tea hooked me in to order a drink and close out my evening. This was my first time visiting them but their options were plentiful, drink photos were beautiful, and reviews were high, so I had to give them a try, especially being in the same shopping center as the place we just had dinner. What a great leap of faith because my inaugural drink from Kung Fu Tea was tasty and just what I dreamed it would be. I was very pleased with the taste, quality, and service. Kung Fu Tea is located on Foothill Boulevard of Rancho Cucamonga and is nestled within a business center full of other food spots. There is ample free parking for customers and I appreciated the option of being able to order both in person and through their app. (As a side note, their app is pretty cool. Very user friendly and it looks like it will keep track of your orders and transactions so you can earn rewards.) Though I ordered online, the pick up process was smooth, the timing I was provided for when my drink would be ready was accurate, and the staff were super friendly when I got to the establishment to retrieve my order. My order consisted of a Taro Milk Tea with boba. Pretty straightforward and not a lot of room for error. The drink was made perfectly and the boba were of the perfect texture/consistency. I was pleased overall with the taste! I was a little taken back by the price as it seemed a little high compared to other places locally. However, the drink was good and in a way, the price point will be good to regulate going overboard with visiting this place! Though this was my first time at Kung Fu Tea in Rancho Cucamonga, this definitely won't be my last. They have plenty of offerings that will vibe with most palettes. Definitely something for most. One star for the only worker in there that was working extra hard to fill orders as that is the only person in there. You have to self order from a kiosk, they don't even employ a person that you could ask questions if you had them. Yesterday, I went in and the air was very hot and almost steamy (it's winter and 60 degrees out). I waited in line and after I placed my order and paid, the cashier informed me there would be a 15-20 minute wait. I didn't get my order for 50 minutes! That's insane to wait that long for a dang drink! They kept prioritizing online orders ahead of people who were actually there waiting. They had the online orders ready and just piling up at the pickup counter while those of us who ordered in person just sat and waited in the steamy room. Had I known it would be 50 minutes, I would have never placed my order. I only stayed because every time I went to ask how much longer, they'd tell me 5 more minutes. Good boba. We've visited a few other Kung Fu Tea places, and the drinks taste the same across all branches. Cozy location, parking is a little difficult depending on when you visit. There's a lot of restaurants in the area, but KFT can be a good post-meal snack. Staff has been good. Haven't had any issues. Menu is the same as other KFT's. You can order with the cashier for your milk teas, slushes/smoothies, straight teas, and yogurt drinks. Customize the ice and sweetness levels, too. I'm a sucker for the grapefruit green tea with aloe, no sugar, less ice. Iced tea is brewed well. Is it the most superior tea out there? Probably not. Honestly I do not like this place anymore. The staff has become less helpful and less welcoming with every visit. Another thing that I noticed is that they have a sign stating that ALL of their milk teas are diary free! That's amazing! Its pretty tough to go to tea shops and they don't offer that option at all, so for to them to make that change all together and no one notices is pretty cool. Stopped by after a heavy lunch at the Korean BBQ in the same lot and we were looking for some refreshing drinks to wash down the meal. I had wanted to order the green tea, Longan Jujube and Yogurt orange tea but both the Longan Jujube and yogurt orange tea was not available. Keep in mind this was at 12:05pm on 9/12/2021, you would assume the ingredients would be ready for orders. I was originally exposed to Kung Fu Tea in Vegas and I was quite pleased to hear that they opened one in Rancho Cucamonga. Yummy boba spots are scarce out in our area so I am glad to see that Kung Fu Tea expanding this direction. My friend and I were already having dinner in this plaza, so Kung Fu Tea was the perfect spot for us to grab dessert and hang out. My friend had a large Longan Jujube Tea ($3.95) and I had a large Kung Fu Milk Tea ($4.20) with egg pudding ($0.50 upgrade). Longan is a sweet fruit and Jujube is a healthy dried fruit that has an herbal essence, often praised for its' antioxidant effects. This drink reminds my friend of a similar Vietnamese dessert drink so she tells me she always gets it when she comes here. My Kung Fu Milk Tea is a regular milk tea drink with a black tea base. They have a green milk tea option if you prefer green tea. I didn't enjoy the texture or lacking sweetness in the egg pudding compared to other boba spots, but the drink was decent. Service could have definitely been friendlier. Nevertheless this spot served its' purpose. There weren't too many chairs and tables, but we were able to get a seat so I'm not complaining. If you are a student looking for a spot to study, they have wifi here. Before leaving, I ordered my parents their default option, 2 large Taro Milk Tea ($4.45) with boba ($0.50 upgrade) which they happen to call bubbles here. My parents told me it was 'okay.' Definitely nothing to rave about. If my mom likes a spot, she always gives a stamp of approval to get more next time. This wasn't the case. So this review is on a 3/4 star border... First time having Kung Fu Tea in SoCal! I used to go often to the one in Las Vegas Chinatown and they were all over NYC when I lived in New York, but I've never had it in SoCal until now. Went with yogurt green tea, half sweet, with boba. Overall, pretty satisfying, although the boba was overcooked or had been sitting around a bit too long. A few were clumped together and others were slightly mushy instead of being "QQ". For me, the drink was a bit too sweet, but that's my own fault. I forgot that I usually get this drink 25% sweet since there's so much Yakult in it and the Yakult is already sweetened. Plus the boba adds sweetness as well. I might actually try getting the drink unsweetened next time to let the Yakult and the boba lightly sweeten the drink. Staff was very nice and the inside is larger than the average Kung Fu Tea.
