So, I was on my way to Bureå just south of Skellefteå for work-related business, but I stopped in Skellefteå on the way there for lunch as I'd have to drive straight back home afterwards. And driving in the dark with a completely empty stomach is never a good idea. So I parked smack in the middle of the town, had my mind set for another lunch at a classic pub such as O'Learys or perhaps Bishops Arms that had previously floored me with their excellent food (see separate review). To much of my dismay, they were all closed. Apparently, restaurants go into daily hibernation during winter season and don't open until evenings. So where people go for lunch during work days is beyond me, but also beyond the scope of this little review. So with time ticking away I started, not frantically, but slightly stressed look around for a place to eat. In my sort of semi-panicked mood I ended up at the local pizza/burger joint on the corner. I know it's the classic tale of too hungry to care and so on, but I can own up to it. This time. At first look the place has a very nice and cosy atmosphere, clean tables and comfortable chairs. As a matter of factly, not many pizza-places look this fresh/nice. I ordered a pizza with ham, mushrooms and prawns. The dough was crispy and thin, the ingredients fresh, but at the end of the day it was nothing more than a simple pizza that was too overpriced. They may try to aim and be something more than another fast food joint on the corner, but to put an analogy with it; a sheep in sheep's clothing is still a sheep no matter what. read more
