Each week he would tell us he would be there the following Monday. At one point a pile of shingles was delivered right in the middle of our driveway. When we filled a complaint with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, he picked up the shingles immediately. We received some but not all of our deposit back and have escalated our case with consumer affairs. tldr: This man will take your money with no intention of ever doing the job.

I'm embarrassed to admit I actually gave Bill Friendship a $12,000 deposit. Job was to start approx end of October 2019 and to be finished no later than end of November 2019. After chasing him for a couple months, he finally delivered some miscellaneous metal roofing material on January 3, 2020 and said he would start the job on January 5, 2020. Neither he nor his crew showed up. I called him on January 5 re the no-show. Bill said they were not able to start due to poor weather but would be out as soon as snow stopped. We never saw him again. We sent registered letters to the contactor on April 6, 2020 demanding that he return the $12,000. We received no response.
