Seating is limited, but it feels cozy and intimate. The staff was outstanding from the greeter to the servers, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The menu has a great variety, from ramen and teriyaki boxes to rice dishes and sushi. We started with the soft shell crab appetizer, which was incredibly fresh with a light, perfectly crisp tempura batter. For our main course, we went with a selection of sushi, and it was phenomenal. The fish was extremely fresh, served at the perfect temperature, and every flavor paired beautifully. One thing I really appreciated is they don't smother their sushi in sauces, they let the freshness and quality of the fish speak for itself, the way it should. Quite possibly the best sushi in town!!

We ordered a variety of stuff. As appetisers We ordered fried calamari, it's only now that I realized I didn't grab a pix of the calamari. It was decent with a creamy sriracha sauce. I then had my agadashi tofu. It was crisp and nice. The batter could be lighter and the tofu could be the softer kind... - to me that would be nirvana. But for this- it was good. My handroll and sushi was fresh and delicious. It was a good afternoon with the good food My drink happy sumo- was nice just didn't really do it for me though. Ambiance was nice and zen. I like it. We will be back.

What an incredible hidden gem of a restaurant! This was my first time going to try this restaurant,…read morerecommended by a friend, and I was blown away. The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side, but definitely worth it. They had a large variety of sushi, curries, and ramen that you could try on the menu. I tried the gluten free ramen, which I've never been able to get before, and it truly was the best bite I've had in awhile. The broth had so much umami in it, and everything was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend tried the chicken katsu and reminded him of the ones he had back in Japan. Everyone working there is super kind. We accidentally left a wallet there, and they called us and held onto it until we could come back. Highly recommend this little spot! It's definitely worth the drive!

Tucked on a corner with entrance facing the parking lot…read more This place is newly opened- barely two months old. Small little restaurant that mirrors a simple Japanese restaurant. The menu for me is a little confusing. It basically is a combination restaurant. There was a variety of Japanese, Chinese and even Korean elements to it. There is a variety of seating available- at the bar, booths, round tables, rectangular tables for bigger groups and small tables for a party of two. We were the only people there on Sunday. I needed comfort food. We ordered spring rolls for appetisers. Hubby ordered tempura and i ordered tartan noodles. Spring rolls were nice and crispy- tasted like they were bought frozen and fried in the restaurant. The insides were a little mushy. They were laid on a bed of cabbage- the shreds on the side look a little black. They should probably have been more careful with picking of the lettuce shreds. Japanese tantan ramen is usually in spicy broth. Mine came more like a Chinese style dried noodles. I'm not complaining - felt like noodles my mom used to make. It helped with homesickness. I do want to point out one point though- the chicken in the noodles is probably from the chicken broth that was made. And its basically gotten all the flavour into the soup. The accompanying chicken soup with my tantan noodles were actually good. But would be better if the oil was removed before serving. The layer of oil on the soup was a little off-putting but the flavour of the underlying soup was good. Tempura itself ( the vegetables) were delicious. The shrimp was a little over done but overall tasty. Honestly, it would probably do them good to reduce the menu. Too much stuff too confusing. I would come back for stuff that reminds me of home though. I'm not trying to be critical. This place has potential. I have to add our server's service was really good. Attentive and polite! Good job! Good luck!

Not sure if it's always this busy, but it was also a beautiful day. Most folks were seated outside and inside. Shout out to the staff for taking care of us! Alicia was our server and she did amazing. Now to the food -- we ordered the highway 80 and hiro 88 rolls. Along with the avocado cucumber roll for our toddler , salmon, yellow tail and mackerel sashimi. Everything was delicious! EVERY time someone went in or out of that door, the people at our table were hit with a reflection from the sun outside. It was like sitting in front of a strobe light. When we suggested that they prop the door open, we were told that wasn't possible. So we explained what was happening and were told there was nothing that could be done. So if you get this table for an evening meal, immediately ask force seating. We could not wait to leave! We ordered meals and sushi. Several people at the table do not use chopsticks. Food arrived and there were only 4 forks in the entire restaurant. Food got cold waiting for forks - imagine having a restaurant without forks! Finally, besides being cold, the walnut shrimp, sesame chicken and peanut butter chicken all were very dry and didn't have much "sauce" on them. This isn't the first time we have eaten here and never had this type of service or food. But all in all, it was EXTREMELY disappointing and since things have changed we most likely won't be back.

The steak is always perfectly cooked, and it has great flavor, it's a true testament of Nebraska beef. And the shrimp makes a man forget he lives in the middle of land-locked Nebraska. It's the freshest tasting crustacean this side of the Mississippi. Service is sometimes a struggle, but usually it's one server covering the entire restaurant. But after tasting their food, I would willingly volunteer to serve tables if they threw in extra crab Rangoons. And don't get me started on the rice - it's beautiful. Perfect brown. Remarkable taste. I sometimes wonder if Gordon Ramsey is being held against his will in this place because it's hard to believe someone in Lincoln can cook so well. Overall I hope they can hire more staff by driving up business. I would offer to stand outside with a sign to bring people in. This place cannot close or I will be forced to go back to eating poor tasting hibachi and a dark cloud will rain down upon life.
