(ancient) vegetables and fruit The garden consists of different areas and beside others the Hildegard von Bingen bed, a huge spiral herb garden, the labyrinths and a bed of poisonous plants are a feast for the senses (the last one not for the gustatory sense!). They are also cultivating some herbs and flowers and you can purchase nice rarities for your own garden. This place is a must for garden lovers.

Many interactive exhibits along the way allow for a playful, yet accurate discovery of numerous facts regarding Rügen's rich scenery and diverse wildlife through the centuries. The visitor's center reminds me of US national parks and museum shops. They sell the usual paraphernalia and branded merchandise, but the exhibitions are well curated.
