While on vacation in Florida we went here to try out the coffee and the Croqueta. The coffee itself came in an adorable little cup which has amazing flavor and strong which I love. Definitely gave me a good kick to the day. We also ordered the original Croqueta which was crispy and had great meat filling. It was delicious. I think the only thing I wish was I wish it was warmer. Be cautious with this restaurant. They advertise a breakfast special for $5.99, two eggs, toast, and a cafe con leche, but it's time to pay, they claim that what you ordered isn't including the special. I specifically asked for the breakfast special, and the lady said I could add ham, bacon, or sausage to my two eggs that supposedly came with it. However, when the bill arrived, she said the medium coffee and the extra ham weren't part of the deal, bringing the total to $10.55 with tax. Honestly a really great Cuban bakery in West Kendall. It's crazy how affordable it is. My boyfriend and I got the #2 breakfast for $4.95. This came with scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, Toastada, and cafe con leche. The pastelitos are also very fresh. On a late Saturday morning the tables were a bit packed. But it's understandable, feed a family for cheap! Another thing is they have a lot of party deals so for $25 you can get 25 croquetas, 25 bocaditos, and 25 mini empandas. A nice lady was the one who helped us. We ordered: Cheese Tequeno; I didn't like the taste at all, my daughter​, on the other hand,​ liked it. Pan de Bono; I liked it House Ham Croqueta; this was my favorite out of the three​ things we had. Great taste and I liked how it was seasoned. I would appreciate it if the food was warmed before serving it because ours was room temperature and I like my food hot and crunchy. Esta mañana fuimos a desayunar rápido al Bakery Cafe. I was in the mood for some cuban pastelitos, so I decided to finally give this bakery a try as my cousin recommend it. When I first walked in the first thing that I notice was the amazing smell of all their pastelitos(yummy). There are some tables inside for you to eat there if you would like to. They have breakfast, milkshakes, coffees, sandwiches, and of course so many pastelitos(turnovers) to choose from. I personally got croquetas de jamon (ham croquettes) and cuban bread. Trust me I wanted to try everything because it all looked so good. Service is great, but the only thing I was confused about was the way you placed your order, as I didn't know if I needed to make a line or just stand there until they asked me for my order. It was somehow confusing as when I got there, there was no line and everyone was just standing there in no order, and people kept coming in and just standing looking at the two ladies that were taking orders. I'm guessing a lot of regulars because they will start speaking to the two ladies and placing their orders, so I decided to ask if there was a line to place the order and they said yes, so That's when people started getting in line. The ham croquettes were so delicious and so was the cuban bread. I have to point out that it all taste so fresh. They keep the place extremely clean. If you're looking to pick up a quick bite to eat in West Kendall, this is the place. Before descending into the next ring of purgatory (that would be Walmart), I was hungry and looking for something besides the chains amply represented around here. A plain "Bakery" sign with a blinking Open light beckoned as I pulled into a nearly desolate parking lot. Inside, I found a bright and stylishly simple Cuban bakery. I ordered the breakfast special - scrambled eggs with ham, Cuban toast, and cafe con leche for $3.50 - and sat down at one of the two glass tables that have been put out for customers. The food was delicious and not as oily as some Cuban can be. They served it quickly and pleasantly and went about their main business - baking cakes and sweets, which were prominently displayed. I stopped by for breakfast and relied on the feedback here, but was utterly disappointed. I had a bacalau croquet , a cheese stick and a coconut pastelito, along with a fresh orange juice. The cheese stick and the juice were good. The croquet was soaked in oil and the coconut pastelito was a disaster : too oily, not enough filling ( I could barely taste the coconut) and it was slightly burnt on the outside, leaving that bitter taste in one's mouth. If you're bilingual, this place does the job for sweet Spanish cravings. I feel bad that 0 is not an option here , the manager is really rude and offensive, he thinks it is completely ok to be rude to his employees in front of customers . On one occasion I arrived with my service dog and he said it was not allowed at his establishment. I explained because of my disability that I needed his help and he said if inspectors come I'm in trouble. I proceeded to explain why I didn't think this was correct , later on in the day he sent me and my wife a personal message on Facebook telling us to go F ourselves .
