Wow, what a stunning oasis. The park which translates "Rosehouse Park" is in the Eminönü district…read moreof Istambul. The park itself used to be a large walled garden of the adjacent Topaki Palace. The initial park opened in 1912 but has undergone extensive remodeling in the years since. The park is a vast open space and during our trip the tulips were in bloom. They do take the keep off the lawn seriously with park employees with whistles calling out any and all offenders big and small. The wall of the park are amazing as well. There are a few exhibits and at least one restaurant but we just walked through it and did not check anything else out.

Nice greenery, seriously short basketball courts,, sculptures, tennis courts and some pretty nice street art as well. We grabbed a water and took a breather on one of the many benches scattered about.

I think Zorlu is definitely for the rich, the shops on the outside clearly give this statement,…read moresame as once you get inside but after a while of actually walking around and going into the shops, I find out that there is not special or that sets this mall apart from others. I personally think Istinye is better because of more diversity. This mall can be pretty boring. Sure they have a Apple Store and luxury brands scatted inside and outside. The food court is decent. After that there isn't much exciting about this mall. I did however find a very small bowling alley and a pretty big laser tag room upstairs, ducked off in an area I don't think most people know about.

We were walking the Moda area of Istanbul and stumbled upon this little urban park…read more It was a perfect bit of green space in the oasis of buildings had a nice meandering path with trees and grass. Not to mention play areas for kids in the like. There also were a few mini basketball courts basically the paint and maybe up to the three point line. There also appear to be tennis courts but it's unclear if they were a separate entity from the park. Aside from that there was very little services and parking appeared to be Manhattan level bad , but other than that the park with also immaculately, clean and well-maintained
