Class Act... from start to finish !…read more We flew into New Orleans a few months before the wedding to meet with various vendors (photographers, bakeries, florists, event venues for rehearsal dinner and more). Being perfectionists, it makes us picky; we met with a few photographers in preparing for our destination wedding and although each impressed us, they unfortunately also unimpressed us each time (high marks for 1 aspect but disappointed at the same time by not hearing our ideas, being unclear with their thoughts/ideas, drinking too much during the interview/meeting, having virtually no experience)... UNTIL, we met Kendra ! She arrived at the Roosevelt Hotel on time; just ten minutes into our first meeting with Kendra reassured us that our first impression was overwhelming and our search was over; even went as far as canceling our last 2 interviews immediately after meeting with her... She dressed classy, spoke well, clearly explained her process but most importantly, she listened and understood what we wanted. A few days later, negotiating our contract over the phone from Florida was a simple process and there was no pressure to add more services or other packages. The day of our wedding arrived and we met with Kendra at our hotel (Le Pavillon) to take "first look" photographs; then Kendra joined my fiancé and I and headed over to the French Quarter for interesting photo-opportunities (dancing in the street, inside shops we love and even got some amazing pictures when a Second Line was passing by). And then the special event at Antiones (down the aisle, exchanging the rings, family members shedding a few happy tears, then married). We left the wedding room and Kendra took numerous photographs of family and fun in our reception room. We loved the way she interacted with our guests to get the best photographs. We never felt rushed to get done by a certain time. Most importantly, our photographs were wonderful and there were no hidden fees to get our pictures. The staff members were professional, helpful & kind in all our dealing. The options were all mine, decorate up or leave as it. Either way the space is so elegant; the options are limitless. You can decorate yourself or have the staff to decorate for you, for an additional fee. We had the food prepared by the on-site catering company used by the facility. This removed all the guess work & allowed us to plan for our upcoming event. And the food was delicious & well worth the price. Ample off street parking was available for guests & security was there to ensure no vehicle break-ins occurred. Considering the event I had here & my frame of mind at the time, The Dream Event Center staff & facility was JUST WHAT I NEEDED. They took the sting out of the largest par of the planning process. I recommend this facility for all your party, repast, wedding, receptions etc needs. Bar none, this is the best place for your event.
