The DJs are like your cool best friends who never forget your birthday but also make you laugh so hard you snort coffee out of your nose at least once a week. If you're looking for the same old boring playlists, keep driving, because these guys mix it up like a DJ at a wedding who's had one too many Red Bulls. I swear, I've heard everything from obscure 80s pop to the latest indie bangers to that song you definitely forgot existed but now can't stop singing. Plus, the station's contests? I don't know... In short, these folks make your drive feel like a party--minus the weird uncle telling bad jokes in the back seat. Highly recommend if you need a good laugh and some seriously funky tunes.

A member of the "Alpha Media" group, 98.5 JACK-FM, this os one of those "we play what we want"…read morestations and they really do play some unusual stuff. I spent the day in Topeka and enjoyed my time tuned to this station. From Prince to the Clash, Linkin Park, Eddie Money and ZZ Top. Yeah, that was me bopping down the road to "West End Girls" by the Pet Shop Boys and "Whip It" by DEVO*. Very enjoyable, not too many commercials and great music. * If you're a DEVO fan, keep an eye out for the "Mark Mothersbaugh" traveling exhibit coming to a museum near you. Mark was one of the co-founders of DEVO and it's some interesting stuff. I saw it at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver but it was last seen in at the Akron Art Museum.
