I have brought my car here for several years for oil changes and basic things. Management changes every time I am here. Today, the manager told me I needed new brake fluid while I was waiting on my oil/filter change. So I agreed to have that done. Interestingly, while I have been waiting for that to get done, they have told every single customer (at least 5 or 6) they also needed brake fluid flushes. They aren't even hiding the fact that they are just making this up to increase ticket sales. I will never come here again. Was it worth it, Kwik Kar? People aren't stupid. read more

Unfortunately I have to update this review. I am visiting my parents this week, and my father offered to change my oil and oil filter. He normally does this for me as I do not have a way to dispose of the oil myself, and has extensive automotive knowledge. Not only did the mechanic strip 3 of the 4 bolts that hold the guard to my car by using excessive force with an air wretch, but (s)he installed the WRONG filter on my car!!!! Store: Very nice store. The waiting area is exceptional! Comfortable chairs, coffee, cookies, computer to use, and a play area for children. I had no problem waiting for my oil change and did not feel the usual annoyance of doing so. Service: Was not as organized as most other places I usually go to to have my oil changed. I'm embarrassed and this is ultimately on me but usually the shops know what oil my car needs and will suggest what is recommended by the manufacturer. Here they asked me and I had to guess. I also am used to them starting the service and then if they see additional items done they report to the gentleman at the desk who discusses prices, recs, etc. At this location the mechanic kept rushing in, approaching the customer and exclaiming what needed to be done without really taking the time to explain. I witnessed him yell to a young boy (not meanly just loud) that his windshield wipers needed to be replaced. Did not tell him price or why they needed to be replaced. The kid seemed taken aback and just agreed to replace them. After the mechanic rushed out the kid had to approach the desk to ask the cost and received a very wide range of costs depending on the brand. Will go back but would recommend the shop work on communication with customers. read more

This is probably the nicest Kwik Kar that I have ever been to. They have pretty decent seating inside. Cushioned Comfortable seats. Its pretty good for a mechanic shop. Prices are on par with other Kwik Kars and about the industry norm. They are somewhat off the beaten path at Midway and Plano Pkwy, so they usually are not busy. Which means that you can get in and out pretty quickly for normal maintenance. I have had oil changes, tire patching and inspections done here. I am usually in and out without a lengthy wait. The staff is usually pretty nice as well. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here. read more

I went today for my usual oil change and was very pleased with the service they were very busy this afternoon and they were still able to get me in and out of there quickly about 30 mins and Most importantly I left my wallet in the car I thought it was in my purse and I just cashed my check so there was a considerable amount of cash, a few hundred dollars. Anyhow, now that I think about it my change container has never come back empty and I keep track if how much is there in case I need it. Great service, trustworthy employees and Marvin the mgr knows what he is doing. I am very happy in my choice of place for my cars needs. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would - this place should be forcefully put out of business. WARNING - YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET PRICE GOUGED AND COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF! So I bring in my truck with 40k miles on it for a synthetic oil change, inspection and to top fluids off and get my tires rotated. Guy comes to me and says it's going $1000 because all my fluids are very low and so many things need done. I asked him if he was crazy and then if he worked off commission which I'm certain he does. He said the only thing that was good on my truck was the battery. Btw, I drive a very nice truck and it's barely used and happens to be a brand that is known for going 300k miles and beyond. Anyways I laughed at him and said to just change the oil and rotate the tires and wipers - he said 2-3 hundred which upon checkout was 300 some sales tactic there. So anyways I go down the street to another place to double check everything and the guy confirmed I needed all the things KK said I needed but told me it was going to be 100 bucks. WTF - this place is a ripoff. RUN! read more

Update on this review- the owner called me and offered a refund past what was quoted and said that I made a valid point about written quotes. I appreciated the effort to make the situation right and the timeliness of the owner contacting me. Unfortunate situation, but I am happy with the outcome and resolution. Completely dissatisfied with what happened today. I went in for a simple oil change. Was told I needed other work including brake pads. Declined the brake pads because of lack of time. Manager came to me saying he could hurry and do brake pads and ALL in would be $380. When I go to pay, the charge is $615. I was not told the entire truth, and had I been told that, I would not have had the service. Will NEVER go back to Kwik Kar Willow Bend. If you go here, get quotes in writing before agreeing to service. Very unhappy. read more

This place just keeps getting better. The manager, Marvin, is so knowledgeable and helpful. He tries to speak with every customer personally. They offer to take you home or pick you up. Their prices are competitive and they truly try for same day turnaround. They have been our families mechanics since they opened and they almost feel like family now! read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I brought in my car for an oil change. My vehicle is brand new, this was the first oil change ever. Mind you, my car only has 3K miles. The mechanic guy comes and asks us what type of oil we would like, we agreed on full synthetic. Okay. They gave us the receipt only to find out that they put Synthetic Blend. I was pretty upset, and when I told the Manager he made it seem like he could care less. And to make matters worse they used HIGH MILEAGE oil . I was livid. He said it was the same as full synthetic which is a complete lie! read more

They looked pretty busy when I drove up but a mechanic managed to help me pretty quickly. The front desk girl was nice and helpful. Also their waiting area is so posh!! Comfy lounging and nice background tv. Also... clean. They had a vending machine too. I didn't get anything, but will next time. They got the good stuff, though. I called and asked a specific question for repair, was given an affirmative answer, then decided to move forward as I was told there was no wait. When I showed up with my car, I was told they don't carry the part, and it would be a special order item that would be in the next day. He also said, bring the car in tomorrow, we'll test the car and see if the part really needs replacement. I followed through, the car seemed to be working, so I asked for the test. He came back and said the part definitely needs replacement. I had him move forward with the work, but left feeling unsure if it was truly necessary. I needed to get my car inspected and, after reading the good reviews, I decided to run over to Kwik Kar on a recent Monday morning, hoping to get in and out quickly. When I arrived I was the only customer there and the staff took care of my car right away. The place is clean and well kept. The waiting room was very comfortable, with complimentary coffee and cookis. As I hoped, I was in and out very quickly. I will definitely be back the next time I need an oil change. read more

The guys there are so kind! I was near the facility with a tire that was almost flat and didn't know where to go on a Sunday morning to fix this. I drove to their facility and a young man came out to help me. He noticed the screw in the tire right away then proceeded to plug the hole and refill all four tires at no charge! Went in for oil change and check engine light. Very friendly and understanding of my concerns. Changed the oil, lubed, and filter. Fixed the check engine light issue too. they had a fb special for regular maintenance that offered $200 off of a 120k mile service. my wife called because her car has around 160k miles. she spoke with someone who told her it would be $530 and she would get $200 off of that and it would take one hour to do. almost 2.5 hours after she takes her car in they say they're done but she was misinformed about the $200 off. apparently it would only be $100. they would not stand behind their word. we ended up agreeing on $125 off because my wife was tired of waiting for her car and wanted to get out of there! buyer beware. lesson learned, won't be going back there. I gave one star because we have both taken our car there for oil changes and they were quick. Update... I posted this same review on their fb page and within minutes I got a call from a manager apologizing and saying that he kept our paperwork and spoke with the owner and he agreed to send us a check for $75 (the difference of the advertised special and what we actually received). We have since received the check but have not returned to that location for any type of service. read more

Got my oil change there a month ago on my old car. I noticed an oil leak a few weeks later. I took it to my mechanic who said the drain plug wasnt screwed in all the way. So now I have to pay my mechanic a half hour labor fee on top of the logistical confusions that come from being without a car. I wont be taking it here again. read more

My friends car ran out of gas so she pushed her car off the street. She called me to come pick her up.So when you push a car with no gas you need jumper cables to start the car up. We didn't have any jumper cables and neither did kwik kars. I thought that since they are an auto place they would have them but they don't. The only reason I don't have jumper cables is because I never thought I would need to use them. We ask all these people if they have jumper cables and they don't. Maybe there are a lot of dare devils out in the world because know one seems to have jumper cables. read more

Went in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon (typical woman, I know, right?). They had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Waiting area is exceptionally nice, they had complimentary cookies (macadamia nut was pretty good), and coffee. Downsides: The cost - 42 ttl for a basic oil change, ouch. To be fair, they advertise $3 off if you like them on Facebook, but I forgot to mention that at checkout. Still, $39 is nothing to sneeze at either when you have places handing out $15 specials left & right. Also, if I'm going to pay about the same as charged at a dealership, I'd expect to at least get the same extras they give - free car wash & vacuum. Kwik kar only vacuumed the floorboards in the front, not my backseat, and no car wash. Bottom line: quick service, bit steep on pricing. Worth a try if you're not a coupon queen, or are weary of dealerships. read more

Fast and honest! We brought our car in with the engine smoking and we needed to leave it there for a few days. Luckily they offered us one of their rentals for free since that was our only source of transportation! They were awesome and extremely honest. Love this place! read more

Incredible service. Couldn't have been nicer! My wife's car would not start at Texas Health Presbyterian so I drove from Richardson to jump her car. I got Siri to find the nearest Kwik Kar. This one was closest. As I was driving to meet my beautiful one, I called ahead. They greeted me at closing time and was done in 10 minutes!!! They could of easily said come back tomorrow!!!
