On our way back on Sunday night, we stopped for gas and was going to grab some food for the ride home. Well, we got to the station, and I had a bag, so we cleaned out any empty bottle and trash we had in the car from the weekend. (Most of which was bought at this same gas station on the way up.... gatorade bottles, mcdonalds bag, chip bags, etc) I put the trash in a bag and tossed it in the garbage can next to the pump as I was getting fuel. This lady comes busting out the door and starts screaming at me for some reason. I looked around in shock like why is this crazy person yelling at me.... She promptly takes the lid off the garbage can, hold up the bag of trash I just put in there and says "YOUR TAKING THIS WITH YOU OR I AM CALLING THE POLICE RIGHT NOW! I ALREADY HAVE YOUR LICENSE PLATE NUMBER" First off, I am an adult, in an industry where service matters.... and even if one of my customers were to do something wrong, I would never speak to them that way. With that said, I still am unaware of it being illegal to throw garbage into a trash receptacle. I had no idea it was against the rules at this gas station to use the facilities provided. Needless to say, we did not get food there, I stopped pumping gas immediately. My only regret is that I already had about $48 worth of gas in the truck and we had stopped on the way up and filled up not only my truck, but two snowmobiles we had on the trailer, then bought food there also. I will also make sure my family never stops there on the way up either. No thanks.

From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel welcome. Clerk at the front made a point of saying "Hello, how are you today?!" (not our typical experience of a gas station convenience store). Wandered back to the food service area, we were surprised to find a made-to order deli counter. The staff at the sandwich counter was very attentive, allowing us to taste the pepper mayo before deciding on it, AND asking if we wanted our shared sandwich cut on a diagonal or straight!!! I mean.....there are 5-star restaurants that don't have this level of service! As we got on the road and each opened our separately wrapped half sandwich, it was like our moms had packed our lunch for us. Tasted like it too. Thanks for this delightful surprise. -Sue . I give 'em credit - these guys lead the way on local gas prices. I was conscientiously watching gas prices driving through the peninsula just for familiarity if nothing else. On 10-13-2022, this place had the lowest price period, at $3.699/gal for 87 regular, and for a major brand to boot. On the following day, 10-14-2022, I noticed several stations in a multi-mile radius dropped their prices by about 10 cpg to match, woot woot. $3.699/gal was still holding though as lowest in the vicinity. Kudos, Parv J, kudos. I'll visit again sometime.
