Teacher turnover is much better than at other daycares - my kids have had the same teachers many years in a row here, and they seem to be good at retaining and promoting staff. The staff are very cautious about covid protocols so we feel very safe. My kids love it here and love the teachers. Highly recommend!

I am so grateful for the experience that they gave her, she has become so much more of a sociable creature loving spending time with friends playing and more importantly heading to school to learn something new. It was perfect since it was a short walk from the Porter Square T Stop or if you prefer bus (we lived near Lechmere), close to many bus stops. We loved the flexible schedule as well, she attended two half days this past year which was perfect for a two year old so she would still have plenty of 1:1 time with her mum and our au pair.

The curriculum is play based with classrooms rich in books, art supplies, and interesting items to spark their imaginations. It is a small school so the teachers can really cater to each child's needs and interests. The schools celebrates families of different backgrounds and every year there have been some non-native English speaking kids. Because it's a co-op and has flexible afternoon scheduling it is more affordable than other preschools in the area. Parent presence in the classroom is not expected or required. The co-op jobs are very reasonable and related to administration. Two half weekend days per year parents volunteer for clean-up and organization type jobs. It's nice that you get to know the other kids and families may of whom are from our neighborhood and who will be heading to Kindergarten with us next year.

Each of them brings the gift that your child needs to feel loved and nourished. They sense what you kid wants and it is there in a matter of seconds, nobody is left behind, nobody is forgotten. They are so creative and organized that even a big messy project is finished just in time to start a circle time. They are always looking for new authors, new music, new art projects because they enjoy it as much as our kids. Whatever is happening in CP is done not out of duty but out of love and joy. The Goddard School in Lexington is a well run and fully staffed location. As a parent of 2 children who have been enrolled over the past 2 years (our oldest is aging out and moving to Kindergarten in Sept), we have watch the children transition from the Toddler room and into the Pre-School and then Pre-Kindergarten rooms. All the teachers show that they care for the children and are open and approachable. The daily photos and summary e-mails allow you to see what is happening with the children and the teachers take the time to write a note if necessary so that you know if there was a particularly good thing or something that you might want to address. The owners are on-site and are actively involved in the running of the location and their child is a student so it is great to see their active involvement and also know that they want the best for the children. During the COVID-19 shutdown, they set up Zoom sessions for all the kids as well as posted the teachers reading stories and doing activities on Facebook to allow the kids to keep interacting and it was great for my children to see their classmates on Zoom and be able to talk with them, as opposed to just staying home.
