As with so many other good things in life, I found KHIL purely by accident. Radio and radio…read morereception are not so hot where I live in rural high desert country but, of course, in the car the reception improves. I was waiting for a friend and sitting in the car, searching, searching, searching on the radio dial and suddenly, wow, great classic country and Western music! I stopped searching and listened. Wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyable. KHIL, located in Wonderful Willcox, Arizona, plays the great stuff from, among so many others, Rex Allen -- and maybe Rex Allen, Jr., too, but I haven't heard him yet. KHIL is really an oasis in this double desert, and I get a big kick out of listening and hearing others say pretty much what I do: "I just found you" or "I just found you by accident." Sure, its format won't suit everyone. No station's will. But KHIL is my first choice for its content. More than that, when I had a question and asked it at the KHIL page on Facebook, I got an answer! And quickly! So, great music, consideration for its listeners, and, above all, great music. I will keep listening every chance I get and will urge everyone who likes the type and quality of music KHIL plays to give it a listen.

From the owner: KHIL 103.5FM & 1250AM located in Willcox, Arizona and has been on air since 1959. KHIL's music is…read moreunmatched by any radio station in Arizona. KHIL plays classic country songs from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and the 80's. We play cowboys songs, singing cowboy songs and we play the cool stuff the others don't. We play the songs you haven't heard since you were a child. KHIL 103.5FM & 1250AM Take a step back in time listen...we're playing a great song right now!

Ever since Cave Radio station FM97.7 in Benson, AZ. was sold and is now being run by CBS I guess.?…read more It has gone down hill. They don't give hardly any local news any more. There are wild fires burning all over Cochise County and they don't say one word on the news. Neither on the hour or half hour. I just listen to the 7 pm news June 22, 2023 and not a word about the fire burning just 7 miles west of Benson and Hwy 90 being shut down in both directions from I-10 South to Hwy 82. There is also another fire burning southeast of Sierra Vista and no reporting about that either. These fires are being talked about on the Tucson TV stations but nothing about them on our local radio station FM97.7 This station used to give up dates about what was going on at the local VFW and American Legion but not any more. I really miss the local DJ's that broadcast right from here in Benson on 5th St. Like Joaquin, Chris, Debbie and others, but now the local DJ's are gone and I guess the announcers are coming via satellite signal...........from who knows where. I don't listen to the radio like I used too because of the changes the new owners made. I try to get the news on the hour and half hour but very seldom is local news talked about. You used to be able to call the station and talk to the DJ on duty but not anymore. The Good Ol Days are gone.............. So Sad
