Applied for a USDA RD loan. They claimed I would make too much to be accepted for the loan based…read moreoff their calculations and my last pay stub. Kind of ridiculous to only look at one pay check and not my average pay. They estimated I'll make +$20,000 more than I ever have in previous years....I wish. Wells Fargo claims their underwriters are certified to review the loans and can deny it without sending to USDA. So they then screw you by keeping the money you spent on the appraisal. So either stay with them or lose your +$500 you spent on the appraisal. Just seems fishy to me how they hurry you to get an appraisal completed and then magically wait to tell you days after the appraisal is paid for and completed that you do not qualify for the loan. They then conveniently offer you one of their mortgage loans with a higher rate as a substitute. When you refuse, they refuse to give you your appraisal money back. It's "non-refundable." If you call corporate they are extremely rude and do not actually care to hear your complaint. Whoever Jessica from corporate is is super rude and will talk over you, reading off a script so they can cover themselves on the recorded line. Once they have your money and know you will not continue business with them, they will not return your calls or emails. Beware of using Fred Seeburger. He's worthless. Used to be a car salesman. Just as sketchy as a mortgage lender.
