This company has gone by many names, Kyle's Tiles, London Area Bathrooms, London Area Group of Companies, London Area Bathrooms, London Bathrooms, PEI Renovations, Renovision and Design... The name of the company is not important... the names Kylie Croker and Kyle Bonnington are. I had a negative experience with London Area Bathrooms / Kyle's Tiles. This story is hard to believe that so much could go wrong with a company in such a short period of time I included references and links. Kyle Bonnington also told me that their company is an established company, and has been in business for years. They had an experienced crew, including drywallers and laborers. They had a plumber they use and told us the amount to fix our stack would be $1500 to $2500. Their website also states "Our trusted and experienced crew works efficiently and effectively to guarantee absolute satisfaction". I told him I needed an actual quote from his plumber and would like to speak with him to avoid any confusion. I signed the contract with Kyle and then the issues started occurring. The plumbing costs had increased to $3,800 and there was not a clear explanation of what the cost was covering. I had asked for a quote from their plumber outlining the work to be done. This was not provided. When we talked to their plumber, I had learned that he had never worked with this company before. It was the first quote he has ever given to them. We had received other quotes regarding the plumbing work required to fix the plumbing stack. I decided to go with one of these quotes instead to fix the plumbing. This was because we had met this plumber and he had seen the job and provided us a clear breakdown of the work to be completed. The plumber was scheduled to be there on Wednesday. The day after Kyle was to start working. This was done to ensure the necessary work was completed prior to the plumber arriving. Kyle arrived late on Tuesday, by himself, and did not stay long. He did not complete the required work prior to the plumber to start working. Kyle told me he would arrive before the Plumber Wednesday and remove the toilets and open up the section in the downstairs wall exposing the plumbing stack. Kyle and Kylie of Kyle's Tiles are not professionals. Everlasting smiles is their motto, but more like everlasting regret. We reached out to have them come back to fix just 1 tile that was in the main hallway because it's considerably uneven and sharp on my children's feet and we got blamed. Here is a list of the following excuses: low grade tile (recommended to us by 3 reputable flooring stores in the city as well as Kylie), uneven subfloor (which Kyle installed), that my dog walked on it (nope!), that we didn't tell them it was uneven before they grouted, and that it was a lot of tile to install so impossible to be completely level. Kyle should have inspected all the tiles before grouting to ensure they were installed properly. What contractor relies on their customer for this? 600 square feet of poorly installed tile floor is what we have. We politely asked Kyle to come out to inspect, and arrange to fix, and got back nothing but excuses and refusal to stand by their work. Kyle's Tiles has now ceased to communicate further with us, even though we were nothing but polite and accommodating towards them and their schedules. Beware folks. Trust your home to a professional.
