The tour guide Elise was awesome, ordered beers for us and educated us on brewhouse culture, and our group gelled immediately. We went to a variety of brewhouses and I learned so much about beer and Cologne, even though I've been on many brewery tours before. Definitely check it out.

Having majored in history, he perfectly combined historical information with humor. Mike pointed out not just the architectural details in the buildings and sculptures, but told us the stories behind them to give us a true flavor for the people and background of Cologne. When the rains picked up, Mike knew where to take us for cover and always kept a positive outlook. While this was a free tour, Mike told us upfront that this is how he makes his living. Considering that his tour was as interesting and entertaining as a movie, I gave Mike a well-earned, generous tip, and so should you!
