Found this place while on vacation - it's a true gem in Bodrum! So much that me and my 2…read moregirlfriends dined here 2 consecutive days. We're from New York City. The food and the service was phenomenal. The restaurant manager, Halil, was patient and explained all the dishes to us and they did not disappoint. My favorite dish was the shrimp casserole. Fresh shrimp served in a clay dish and prepared in a delicious red sauce with onions, mushrooms and mild spices. Topped with cheese and served hot. I recommend pairing this with a side of rice. The hummus with raw onions was also amazing as was this baked tahini dessert dish that comes with walnuts - they torch the top layer and the result is pure decadence. Don't miss this place if you are in Bodrum. It is tucked inside a busy market, off one of the main roads. Halil and his brother were very kind, attentive and welcoming.

Unfortunately, it just wasn't as good here. The oil used to fry the calamari tasted ruddy and the flavors just weren't as dynamic. The bread seemed a little stale, too. On top of all of this, the service was a little inattentive. In the midst of bustling Bodrum, this restaurant was pretty empty when we were there; I think this speaks to the quality of the restaurant. One nice appetizer we did really enjoy was their house specialty of eggplant and goat cheese. If you do end up here, definitely order one of those-- so rich and satisfying!
