His language became quite vulgar yet I still purchased something because I felt bad. If I had seen a sign before I used the restroom I would have known there was an expectation to purchase something and I would have done so without question. But to snap at a person and tell them that they should "know" that they have to purchase an item is just not good business. If he had been nice about it and told me that on my next visit it would be nice if I would purchase something and explain his case nicely I would except that. I asked him what would he expect if I had to use the bathroom and I had no money. He said that I should just go home and not stop. If you don't believe this post I highly encourage you to stop in and give it a try. The guy was in his mid 30's and there was a white car parked on the side of the building.

The clerk in the convenience (which is open) store told me gas was "returning soon," but I'd take that with a boulder-sized grain of salt; major structural and safety work would need to be done to get the pumps functional again--the entire roof structure was heavily damaged by the fire. If you need a restroom or a beverage, all good. But don't expect to fill up your car's gas tank anytime in the near future.

If you're driving up at night after hours, they will also bag up some stuff for you and set it in the gas station, if you call them prior and let them know what you're looking for. This place is great and have no problem giving them our business.

I give 'em credit - these guys lead the way on local gas prices. I was conscientiously watching gas prices driving through the peninsula just for familiarity if nothing else. On 10-13-2022, this place had the lowest price period, at $3.699/gal for 87 regular, and for a major brand to boot. On the following day, 10-14-2022, I noticed several stations in a multi-mile radius dropped their prices by about 10 cpg to match, woot woot. $3.699/gal was still holding though as lowest in the vicinity. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel welcome. Clerk at the front made a point of saying "Hello, how are you today?!" (not our typical experience of a gas station convenience store). Wandered back to the food service area, we were surprised to find a made-to order deli counter. The staff at the sandwich counter was very attentive, allowing us to taste the pepper mayo before deciding on it, AND asking if we wanted our shared sandwich cut on a diagonal or straight!!! I mean.....there are 5-star restaurants that don't have this level of service!
